  1. These sound so good, are a doddle to set up - and this is a most excellent deal.
  2. See seller neiljadman on eBay; his cards are excellent.
  3. Naim uniti atom he ( headphone edition) is superb: preamp/streamer/dac/headamp all in one. One just sold in the classifieds. Also currently heavily discounted at ATA plus there's one on Gumtree.
  4. So easy to use; streaming sounds superb - even over wi-fi. Pre-amp is great and headphone amp is excellent. Even at full retail these are great value - at this price it's a no-brainer.
  5. I thought the Clear were excellent: I really enjoyed listening to them but sold them and kept the Elegias just for the closed-back isolation. After buying Dekoni pads and a ibasso 4.4mm balanced cable I'm pretty happy with them - not as good as the Clear but much better isolation.
  6. These are crazy good for the money and really easy to setup. A superb option if you're interested in trying out the world of streaming - and they sound way better than you might think!
  7. What about the Project cd box rs2t cdpro 8 mechanism ,- supposedly newly developed by Michael Jirousek? Any thoughts on this machine Roman? Looks like a sandwich maker
  8. No words can do this justice....close your eyes in a darkened room and dissolve
  9. The Black Keys at the Forum Theatre in 2003/4 ish. A whole lot of power from a 2 piece.
  10. Item: Price Range: negotiable Item Condition: used very good+ Extra Info: latest half case model

  12. Excellent sounding headphone from Shure. Hardcase, cable and spare unused ear pads Headband has snapped and material worn off headband Sound wise they work perfectly and sound great
  13. From Greg's website: Osborn Silverlink is the result of several years of careful experimenting with many different types of cabling and insulation materials. Silverlink is made from pure extruded silver wire which is specially made for Osborn Loudspeakers. It is extruded into one continual length. Many reference cables up to $6,000 per pair were used as comparisons during the selection phase. Neither I, nor any of my customers have yet found an interconnect to match the performance of the Silverlink. Silver Interconnects often suffer from a brittle top end and a restricted bass performance. The sonic purity, transparency, inner detail and soundstage of the Silverlink is extraordinary.
  14. The Silver Sonic D-110 is a precision 110 Ohm AES/EBU type balanced digital interface cable. 110 Ohm digital cables are most often used to carry digital audio data from A/D converters to digital tape transports in recording studios. They are also used between CD transports and D/A converters in home hi-fi systems as an alternative to the more common S/PDIF 75 Ohm coaxial interface. 110 Ohm cables are terminated with XLR connectors. The Silver Sonic D-110 was designed to be a state-of-the-art, no compromise product. We feel it’s sonic performance equals or exceeds all other cables of this type, regardless of price. This level of performance is achieved by combining the finest materials available with the highest level of quality control. A critical goal for any digital interface cable is to maintain a uniform characteristic impedance. This is achieved in the D-110 through the use of a pure PTFE insulation whose thickness is held to a tolerance of .002 inch (.05 mm). The material is extruded under pressure in order to maintain maximum consistency, which minimizes a phenomenon called “VSWR spikes”, a cause of jitter. Other features of the D-110 include silver coated conductors for improved conductivity, solid rod spacers to maintain a constant impedance, and 100% shield coverage to eliminate noise and interference. Our custom D.H. Labs XLR connectors feature direct-gold-plated, pure OFC copper contact pins, far exceeding industry standards. If your audio system has the ability to utilize the 110 Ohm digital interface, we recommend auditioning the D-110 before investing large sums of money in other cables. Several recording and mastering studios have already selected the D-110 as their cable of choice. RRP $195
  15. Further Information: Superb DAC/headphone amplifier Plenty of power to drive any headphone Apple remote Original packaging Sounds excellent as a digital preamp with a good power amplifier From the Twittering Machines review:- Album after album, song after song, test track after test track I was reminded of the Liberty’s ability to unravel any music signal into an engaging and fully-formed, nicely layered sound world that left very little wanting. My current DAC arsenal does not include another $1500 (US) or even thereabouts sample so I did some brief comparisons to the $780 (US) Denafrips ARES II and found the Liberty offered greater resolution and a more nuanced sound by comparison, where the ARES II sounded comparatively looser and less refined. As you might expect, the Liberty takes things up a number of notches in overall performance, doing a more convincing job of unraveling music’s finer points. A more relevant comparison would have been to the Denafrips PONTUS II DAC. With a history of listening to Mytek DACs dating back more than 10 years, I wasn’t expecting much surprise from the little Liberty DAC II. But I’ve been wrong before and I am delighted to report that the Mytek Liberty DAC II surprised and delighted with its very satisfying full voice which is at once rich and finely nuanced. Bravo! From the Darko review:- I was expecting the Liberty II to be a Liberty 1 done better. Just as the Brooklyn was against the original Liberty. The same sonic signature, just operating on a higher plane. It is. What I wasn’t prepared for was just how much better the Liberty II is than its predecessor. And that’s with the SBooster power supply in play. I thought that duo might give the Liberty II a run for its money. It doesn’t. In what way does the Liberty II sound better? In a word, it’s fresher. As if everything has been spring cleaned. It’s more open, there’s more life, more drive. Greater detail too. All of which contribute to the Liberty II’s biggest calling card – a heightened sense of acoustic space. Music just sounds more live. That’s something I wrote when reviewing a pair of Klipsch Reference speakers, which came to mind more than once during this review. David Brigg’s Transcriptions from Truro is well recorded. Whether the organ is thundering loud or playing quietly, the Liberty II conveys the scale of Truro cathedral. The massive walls, the high ceilings, the majesty of the place (it’s not far from me so I know it). Or go small-scale with Buffalo Nichols, heir-apparent to Keb Mo / Eric Bibb. On his eponymous first album, the Liberty II brings Nichols alive, really alive, in the listening room. Far more than the original Liberty can. Electronic music, particularly ambient, fares well too. Brian Eno’s Apollo: Atmospheres & Soundtracks spreads wide and particularly deep in front of you, every little detail adding to the musical impact (even the tape noise). Addicted to audio currently has a demo model for sale at $2399 SPECIFICATIONS CONVERSION: Up to 384k, 32bit PCM, native DSD up to DSD256, DXD, ES9038 chipset, 127dB DR MQA HI-RES DECODER Built in certified hardware MQA decoder DIGITAL INPUTS: USB2 Class2 (OSX, Linux driverless, all audio formats), AES/EBU (PCM up to 192k, up to DSD64 DOP), 2x S/PDIF (PCM up to 192k, up to DSD64 DOP), Toslink/ADAT 2x S/PDIF (PCM up to 192k, up to DSD64 DOP) ANALOG OUTPUTS: 1 pair of unbalanced RCA, 1 pair of balanced XLR HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER: Reference High Current, High transient Headphone Amp, 300mA, 3 Watts, designed for hard to drive headphones, 0.1 Ohm impedance CLOCK GENERATOR: Low noise with 10ps of jitter FIRMWARE: Upgradable via USB POWER SUPPLY Built in oversized 60W linear toroid with automatic voltage switching DIMENSIONS: WxDxH=5.5x8.8x1.74”=140x225x44mm WEIGHT: 4lbs, 2kg
  16. You'll wait a good while for a Weston amp: maybe you should hold on till you make up your mind.
  17. I bought open backed Clear; they sound great but given the ambient noise in our home I probably should've bought closed back Radiance. Anyone with Radiance interested in a trade for Clear send me a message.
  18. One speaker requires 2 drivers and tweeter replacement after fault in right channel of amplifier. Crossover appears undamaged. This speaker also has a ding (see photo) when it fell over some years ago. However, despite the minor cosmetic damage from this it did not affect it's performance and continued to work perfectly until the recent failure caused by the amplifier. The other speaker is undamaged as the fault in the amplifier was only in one channel. General light marks and scratches but overall present quite well. An excellent sounding loudspeaker and should be a straightforward repair for somebody inclined. Drivers and tweeter available via Creek audio direct or eBay store. I bought new speakers to replace these so no longer required. A very enthusiastic review of the speaker can be found here: https://www.hifi-review.com/152699-epos-elan-35.html Does not include Gaia feet but have the original supplied spikes. Pickup Reservoir VIC
  19. Rare as hens teeth here it seems - maybe on the millionth time I check the classifieds a pair will be listed!
