  1. Most of the valve amps should be listed in my signature, I’m using Tannoy Gold speakers predominantly. The cables sounded similar with ATC SCM19s when I had those as well.
  2. Further information: In my system this improved the sound of source equipment and some pre amps, irrespective of whether additional power conditioning was used. Overall, it added more detail and fair bit more spatial dimensionality to the sound. It doesn’t improve the sound of power amps in my opinion, it seems to reduce an amplifiers’ dynamic power slightly (less so than active power conditioners I’ve used though). Interested buyers are welcome to listen to it before purchase. Local pickup only, as this is heavy (16+ kg), and I don’t have the original box. 3. Further information: Very good cables for the money. In the systems I've used these in (mostly vacuum tube based with high sensitivity speakers), these cables have sounded full and timbrally rich, with highs slightly on the warm side of neutral. I'd love to keep them but I have sold off my second system and won't strictly speaking need these. Photos:
  4. Item: Network Bridge / Streamer (high end) that can act as a Roon end-point. Price Range: Negotiable depending on model and age of product Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: Items such as the following would be good:- * DCS Network Bridge * Auralic G1 or G2, * SMS 200 Ultra or * Innuous (higher end models)
  5. Item: Weston Acoustics Time Machine Duo Amplifiers Location: Melbourne Price: $2800 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Very reluctant sale. I love these amps, I'm just not using them enough these days to justify keeping them. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: 18 watts per channel of push-pull 300b triode power and 4 ohm and 8 ohm output transformer taps. These are among the best sounding tube amps I've heard, with impressive timbral detail, imaging, soundstage depth, and great midrange. For the wattage, and for a valve amp, they also have very good bass control. Demonstrations welcome for serious buyers. I don't have the boxes so local pickup required. Photos:
  6. Item: VTA M-125 KT120 Valve Power Amplifiers Location: Melbourne Price: $2250 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: I'm now using a solid state amp to drive my Quad ESL63s, so no longer require these. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These were recently purchased off an SNA member. Details on amp and photos can be found in the previous listing linked below:- Demonstrations welcome and encouraged for serious buyers. I don't have boxes for these, so local pickup preferred. Photos: Pics from original listing (apologies the above are a bit rough, but the condition is as per below):
  7. Item: Kef LS50 - 50th Anniversary Edition Location: Melbourne (Kew East) Price: $1150 $1000 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Soon to be toddler in the family, so clearing out my second system from the living room. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Extra Info: If you're looking at this ad, I take it you know what these are. The LS50s have have very clean and detailed sound while remaining musical and full sounding for their size. There’s lots of reviews online for these if you’re looking for specs or details on how they sound. They take a bit of power (and clean power) to sound their best. These are the Anniversary edition, as I understand it these are a bit more collectable because of this. I don’t have the original boxes unfortunately, so local pickup preferred unless the buyer's willing to arrange packaging and take the risk on shipping them.
  8. Item: Custom made monitor speakers - seas drivers Location: Melbourne (Kew East) Price: $1250 Item Condition: Cosmetics - VG+, Sound/Mechanical - Excellent. Reason for selling: Lack of space in my listening room - too many speakers. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal Extra Info: I bought these from a SNA member a few years back when I went to listen to a pair of proac speakers he was selling. I asked for a listen to these out of curiosity and immediately wanted them. They are very dynamic and full sounding for a two way of their size. They have respectable bass, as well as great PRAT, air and imaging. They're not the most neutral speaker in the world, but they are very musical. These are among, if not the best conventional two way speakers I've heard. I'll be sad to see them go. I'm not aware of their impedance/sensitivity characteristics (probably 6 or 8 ohm nominal I'd imagine) but they can be driven easily by relatively low powered valves (~20+ watts). They can play loud if needed, so should work in medium-large rooms fairly well. Looking at the back, the cabinets and drivers look to have been put together by 'Southern Cross Acoustics'. Crossovers are externally mounted in the box visible at the back and are high quality (massive air core inductor, etc), the binding posts accept spade, banana or wire inputs. Fabric speaker grills also included. These compete with speakers that retail for $5k+. At the asking price, these represent great value - the drives alone would cost more I'd imagine (the tweeters in these are among the best made). Auditions are welcome and encouraged for interested buyers. I don't have packing boxes for these, unfortunately, so I won't ship them.
  9. Item: KEF LS50 Location: Melbourne Price: $1050 Item Condition: Excellent (near mint) Reason for selling: Baby... Clearing out my second system from the living room. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Not much to say really, very good speakers for the money. They take a bit of power to sound their best. Any particular questions send me a private message. I don’t have the original boxes unfortunately. There’s lots of reviews online for these If you’re looking for specs or details on how they sound. 10. Item: Nikon Z6 Location: Melbourne Price: $2100 Item Condition: New - sealed in box (AU stock, purchased from Teds Cameras - original invoice provided) Reason for selling: I wanted the zoom lens and memory card this camera was packaged with, but they weren't reduced much during the black friday sale, however the camera + kit was.I’m keeping the kit lens, but selling this at about the price it cost me relative to the rest of the gear. I can offer a 32GB XQD card for $100 but only to the purchaser of the camera. Also, I have a Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8 af-s, sigma ART 35mm 1.4 and a bunch of manual focus lenses I might be willing to sell if needed, but an FTZ adapter (~$170) will be required to have full function on the Z6 body Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info:- Plenty of details on this in the net. It’s Nikon Australia stock, and I've confirmed that nikon australia will honour the remaining warranty (23+ months) if the used buyer has a copy of the purchase receipt. Photos:-
  11. Price Range: 1. Elektra Ref HD $2750 odd seems to be around the used price I think... Willing to pay a littlemore if it’s near new. 2. Accuphase amp price would depend on age and model. I’m not looking to spend a huge amount, around $5000 would be the upper limit. Other: I may consider other amps, such as recent luxman power amps or similar. Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: I’m looking for something powerful and clean sounding to run a pair of ESL63 electrostats with. >100w into 8ohm, and high current capable I to low impedance loads.
  12. Thanks, I’ll try getting in contact with him. To my ears they produce the best vocals I’ve heard out of a speaker.
