  1. I think the Harbeth P3esr should also be on your shortlist of speakers to audition
  2. Haha yes just in case you need to go back to flat earth :)
  3. Wow, that is one nice amp, I am just doing some more research, it certainly has WAF
  4. Pass Labs, don't know about eye opener, but yes my wife would certainly want to poke my eyes out if I spent that much
  5. Wow thats actually the opposite of what i expected, but yes defo worth demo'ing, thanks
  6. Hi My system is Naim Audio Nac82 (pots8), Teddy Dual Caps, Nap 250 (recently re-capped) to Harbeth SHL5+, a variety of sources inc streaming and high end Micromega Pro Transport and Dac, no turntable. I have been a Naim fan for 30 years and pretty much tried all of their older stuff (Olive), but was wondering if anyone has ventured away from a Naim 82/250 Pre/Power system like mine and moved to something like the Luxman 509x (or other similar integrated amp). I am very happy with my current setup but am oh so curious to know if I am missing something with the likes of the 509x?? I won't be changing speakers as I am very happy with the Harbeths. Already had the 52/SC too, and this is no longer an option for me. Your thoughts and experiences most welcome, but please only if you have something valuable to add, like you have tried both and gone one way or another, tried, gone back etc etc.
  7. Brilliant streamer, i have one and can highly recommend. Mine is V1 too, runs Tidal and firmware updates are free, I have a 1TB USB hard drive connected to it too, with all my lossless library in too, just in case the inter web goes down (as it does from time to time) That way I always have my music
  8. Hi Oleg, you mentioned in another thread that it was running hot and good for keeping the house warm in winter. Is this class A or AB? I can only find info on the 509x but not o 509u ?
  9. What an absolute bargain and having had the SHL5 and now the SHL5+, I agree with the OP that there is little sonic difference (to my ears) between the two, so these represent a bargain in what is possibly the most highly desirable veneer going. GLWTS, but you will regret letting these go I think.
  10. Sorry for being a dumbo, but I am new to Tidal, how do you save your play lists like this?? thanks in advance
  11. I have just ordered one of these sets: https://www.amazon.com.au/DALSTRONG-Whetstone-Kit-Nagura-Included/dp/B07KKQHKMV/ref=asc_df_B07KKQHKMV/?tag=googleshopdsk-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=341744024610&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17426752418785940164&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1000572&hvtargid=pla-637188660196&psc=1 there is a good youtube clip here on the kit, looks impressive, but I'll see how it is when it arrives. The stones appear to be a good size
  12. A little more radical and permanent, but if you are happy that your speaker placements are correct and going to remain that way for a long time, I have drilled a 13mm hole through the wooden floor and routed the cables under the floor, BUT this only works if you are on base floor, stumps and not a slab (the latter could be a real pain) 😂 Even better if for those who have carpet fitted as the carpet provides an invisible cover for the whole (which I hasten to add should be sealed afterwards to stop spiders and mice etc)
