Further Information: Excellent filtered cable in excellent condition except one of the retaining clips is broken off. This happens using if with a Sotm iso cat6 which is a common issue. Cable still stays in place when plugged in and works perfectly

Further Information: This was the second from top model when released. No DSD and does 384kHz on USB Uses 5Y3 rectifier and ECC88 tubes. Tubes included in the sale are 1x Osram U50 and 2x Philips 6DJ8 Lovely sounding dac that will murder a lot of the competition at its price point. Has the first capacitor after the rectifier upgraded from an electrolytic to a Siemens polypropylene in oil. This upgrade made a massive difference and I can tell the buyer a rectifier and E88CC combo that I found to work very well. Has true balanced and single ended outputs

Further Information: Here's our chance to get a world class DHT preamplifer for a reasonable price. This Cabernet is a Dual model so is actually 2 seperate preamplifier circuits with individual volume controls. One uses 6SN7 and 300B whilst the other circuit uses 6N6P. I didnt buy it for its dual purpose function and used the 6SN7 / 300B circuit except for trying the 6N6P circuit out of curiosity. This one has had the following upgrades: - input selector switch upgraded to an Elma gold plated copper sealed switch and it has also had the - filament circuits replaced with DHT filament regulators - 300B sockets replaced with Teflon and Beryllium Copper versions (handmade in Italy) This work was completed by Mick at Supratek. It is also up to date with Suprateks latest circuit version. Tubes that are included: 2x Russian 6N6P 2x Tungsol 6SN7 2x Electro Harmonix 300B 1x Matsushita GZ34 2x Sylvania 6L6GC Ive had many preamps and this one is my joint favourite with the other being a Shindo Masseto. If your system needs a does of DHT magic this will deliver. Perhaps you want to biamp.....I'm only selling as I only have one source now and my DAC is DHT with vol control.

The Melco cable turned up today and upon first listen it seems to be a winner. Might get a 0.5m one to go between the nbn box and modem/router. It’s the older superseded model, C1AE, so good prices

@Anthony1 thanks for posting your experience. Seems a real mixed bag as to using a pre or not. I think its just a synergy thing provided all the impedances and gain are taken care of. The blokes on WBF reckon it has to be a very good pre (think bloody expensive) to add something to the likes of Golden Gate or modern equivalent models. @RCZR again, thanks for posting. I knew there must be a bunch of Lampizator users lurking around here! Wow, that is a lovely system you have there. I only briefly heard some big ATC actives at GC Hifi a while back. Was super impressed. Good to know you are happy using the Pacifics in built vol control. I'm assuming all the models use a similar resistor/relay based attenuator. Very interesting to hear what yo usold to end up where you are now. There is no Lampizator thread which needs to be remedied really. I have an older Big 4 and am thinking about moving to a Golden Gate and ditching my pre but was certainly unsure of how that might work out. I'm using an Antipodes K22

The Wood SL will sound ragged in comparison. I owned 2 woods and they are great until you hear a better Benz

The SLR is one Benz cart I haven’t owned. They occupy the same price bracket so should be a case of different flavour. Yes, it’s a bargain!

Further Information: Purchased a few months ago brand new and mounted using a Smartractor and Fozgemeter. Would have max 125 hrs and most likely less.......thank me later for running it in for you! I prefer the Ebony to the LPS as it's not as coloured. Think 300b vs 45 with the Ebony L being the 45 Original packaging included. Cantilever is dead straight. Sold the rest of my analog front end so this needs to go as well
