  1. Thank you, yes it is a steal, a highly under-rated tuner that has become over-looked. All the best, Steve
  2. Hi Eric Thanks for the Email, the transformer is pretty heavy, so make it $20 and I will pay the rest. All the best, Steve
  3. Further information: A classic tuner that was one of Denons standards for years. Functions perfectly, sounds great. There is one scuff on the top at the right, hence the condition rating. If you don't include photographs of the actual
  4. Further information: This Japanese built Luxman DA-100 DAC and headphone amplifier is a fantastic DAC that sounds brilliant and punches well above it's weight. The DA-100 always received great reviews. This one is a 100V version and comes with a robust Australian built step-down transformer. This provides the benefit of electrical isolation and I have never found voltage differences to be a problem. These specs have been translated from Japanese but are available in original English COAX/OPT input: 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, 192kHz USB input: 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, each 96kHz, 16 - 24bit 2ch PCM Digital input: USB, OPT, COAX The digital output: COAX, OPT Analog output: 1 RCA imbalance system (18mm), 1 headphone system Line output voltage / impedance 2.1V/300 Headphones output 130mW+130mW(600), 80mW+80mW(32?), 40mW+40mW(16) Frequency properties: 2Hz - 60kHz (+0, -3.0dB) Total harmonic distortion, the S/N ratio: 0.004%, 112dB Consumption electricity 7W External form dimensions: 149(W) X 70(H) *232 ()(D)mm including front knob 14mm, back terminal 8mm) Weight: 2.3kg
  5. I have changed the 10K Seiden/Takman attenuator on my Absolare pre-amp to an ALPS RK 501 carbon film potentiometer so this switch is no longer required. This model Seiden has a heavy circular copper screen between the two layers.
  6. I have changed the attenuator on my Absolare pre-amp from a 10k Seiden Takman stepped attenuator to a 100k ALPS RK501 pot so this pair of Jensens are now surplus. They function perfectly. The specs are here - https://www.jensen-transformers.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/jt-10kb-d.pdf
  7. Further information: These Synergistic Research fuses need no introduction, the Blue is a substantial step up from the Black version. I have upgraded to the new Orange iteration so I no longer need this fuse. It is as new and has been "run in", all the packaging is with it. Shipping is $8. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  8. Further information: These plugs were reclaimed from pair of solid silver cables I took aprt to re-use the wire when I moved to balanced. Rated at 8/10 because they have been desoldered. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  9. Further information: These legendary over-engineered solid copper, gold plated Bocchino RCA plugs have been reclaimed from a pair of RCA interconnects I no longer use now my system is using balanced. Given a 7/10 because there is some solder still attached and there are scratches on the plating because the cable sleeves had been glued to the plugs by the builder - I don't know why when heat-shrink does such a good job. They are absolutely fine structurally. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  10. Further information: A very nice Van den Hul 110 Ohm RCA cable Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  11. It is an inexpensive delusion to entertain and it is reassuring to know you are not alone, Chris and I share the delusion, a "folie a trois" and just about the cheapest significant upgrade you can do!
  12. It was an absolute pleasure to visit Chanh today and listen to the fantastic improvements he has made in his listening room with acoustic treatments and the beautiful Gryphon mono-blocks. A great effort on Chanh's behalf that has resulted in an extremely neutral sounding room and a very attactive litstening area - an expansive soundstage and wonderful detail are just two of the virtues of this very clean system. Chanh's acoustic treatments have inspired me to do more with my own room. The Altius pre-amp synergised perfectly with the Gryphons and allowed Chanh's superb front end to excel. Great to see such effort rewarded!
  13. Ha ha! Thank you of the offer, don't think I will be moving it on for a while. Can't afford to becuase getting a better pre-amp is too expensive! All the best, Steve
