  1. Good afternoon Here is a photo of one of the diaphragms. They appear to be the original Symbiotic diaphragms because they have the reddish brown ? mylar surrounds and screw on terminals. Both have a DC resistance of around 10.4 Ohms. All the best, Steve
  2. Good afternoon, I believe they are the original Symbiotic diaphragms. I will measure the DC resistance and see about opening one up and taking a photo of the diaphragm. I saw them when I bought them but that was a while ago. Will get back to you. Steve
  3. Further information: If you are looking at these you will most likety know what you are looking at and they will require no introduction. I bought these beautiful Altec 291/1505B's for a horn project that I decided not to proceed with, I am parting with them reluctantly because I no longer have the space for them. Hopefully someone else can use them and give them the attention and use they deserve. They function perfectly and sound fantastic. There is some of the original Altec paint missing of part of one cell and some minor blemishes but they are otherwise in excellent condition for age.
  4. Here is a rare example of the sought after Teac VRDS 9 CD player. This machine is built like a proverbial tank weighing in at 9kg, it functions superbly and has a very reliable transport, the same as usued in some Wadia players. I have used this as a stand-alone player and by using the digital out function - I have compared this function to a top of the range Esoteric single box player and it is no slouch! The transport mechanism is excellent and is quiet, there are no functional issues with this unit. There are some very, very minor blemishes on the fascia and no significant marks on
  5. Further information: Here is a rare example of the work of the legendary Jon de Sensi of Audio Labs of Melbourne - a beautifully built solid solid state stereo power amplfier with balanced and RCA inputs. Jon has always been fastidious with his designs, build and quality of finish- this is without exception a lovely amplifier. It is fast and powerful with great dynamics and drive outputting a 200 wpc into 8 Ohms. This amp is in very good condition for age and has performed exceptionally well with any solid state or valve pre-amplifier I have paired with it. I have too much sp

They are in very good condition, the cones are excellent and have no damage, the rubber surrounds are very good, no perishing, cracks. There are some small areas where some paint is missing on the frame of one driver. They are in working perfectly and they have never been over-driven. These are for pick-up only in Perth area please. 8. Further information: This Japanese built Luxman DA-100 DAC and headphone amplifier is a fantastic DAC that sounds brilliant and punches well above it's weight. The DA-100 always received great reviews. This one is a 100V version and comes with a robust Australian built step-down transformer. This provides the benefit of electrical isolation and I have never found voltage differences to be a problem. These specs have been translated from Japanese but are available in original English COAX/OPT input: 32kHz, 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz, 96kHz, 176.4kHz, 192kHz USB
  9. These plugs came from cables I salvaged the silver from for grounding cables. Cosmetically perfect. From the Oyaide product description - Material Contact Pin: Phosphor bronze / insert resin: PBT30% GF / housing shell: brass (RoHS compatible) / cable clamp: brass ( Cable connection method: Soldering type Applicable cable diameter: 6.0 mm - 12.0 mm (when removing the cord bush) Just plug it into the inlet on the output side and lock it. When detaching it is a function to unlock just by pulling the tip ring. In addition, the rock adopts a ball bearing type lock which
  10. Thanks very much for that, appreciated. I can move a bit on price if that helps his decision. Stay saf with this COVID thing. All the best, Steve
