  1. I purchased these on a whim in a sale but prefer the sound of my open back AKG q701s. The condition is "as new", I've probably only used them for a couple of hours. They would be a great set of headphones for commuting or to block out family noise (or avoid annoying the family). Note these are the wired version. Carry case included. Review at https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/bowers-wilkins-p7.16674/ Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  2. You'd need three, because any three points lie in the same plane.
  3. May I humbly suggest that if you are looking for good value audio enhancers then a bottle of good Scotch is hard to beat 😎
  4. Item: Schiit Modi Multibit Item Condition: New or Used Looking for a reasonably priced Schiit Modi Multibit (Mimby) after being a too slow to act on the ones sold on SNA recently.
  5. I'm skeptical although I know otherwise intelligent people who swear they can hear a difference. My theory is the act of bending over to lift the cables caused wax to shift in their ears 😀
  6. Wouldn't you want to wrap them in tin-foil to stop the re-bar magnetism from affecting (or effecting) the sound?
  7. I used Your Freight Agent to organise shipping of speakers from the ACT to Perth last year https://yourfreightagent.com.au. They found a bunch of alternatives and I went with their their recommendation - Northline, who did a great job for a good price.
  8. And since the "social isolation" in WA is now re-branded as "physical distancing" by our Health Minister I'm happy to audition for any locals who are interested.
  9. Without hearing the Yamahas I can't make that judgement, but what I can say is that paired with a suitable amp the Whatmoughs are great (as evidenced by the other comments above). It would never occur to me to use them as backyard speakers as you said in your ad when you sold yours, nor is there a child's toy rattling around in them. As others have said, the stands make a big difference to the sound.
  10. This article might help https://audio-head.com/schiit-modi-3-vs-modi-multibit-a-schiit-shootout/
  11. It all depends on your budget, but if you want value for money then the Modi 3 is an excellent DAC and works well with the Loki.
