  1. Very different from the Harbeths. Congratulations. Enjoy. You sure you didn't wrap your new speakers
  2. Looking for a Sony SCD in preferably in Champaign colour or in black. These are some of models I'm looking for or similar. Must be well looked after. SCD-XA9000 ES SCD-777 ES
  3. What setup did you end up with Pete - no subs at all, just left / right speakers?
  4. Message from REL regarding sub connections; Tank you for your interest in REL Acoustics. Connecting high level to the Sansui 907 Limited should be fine - To connect a single unit should be as shown in link below - https://relsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004486467-Connecting-a-Single-REL-via-High-Level To connect a pair of units should be as shown in link below - https://relsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004649048-Connecting-a-Stereo-Pair-of-RELs-to-a-Single-Amplifier I can see the amp has a GND terminal - Connect the black wires to this GND terminal. I hope this helps, Please let me know if you have any problems or further questions. Best, Ben Farmer Another members post regarding connection; "If your amplifier is Class D or Balanced/Differential, then the red and yellow wires will stay the same but the black wires should be left floating, or connected to a chassis ground screw. The Phase switch should be left in the position which gives you the loudest and deepest bass output. Typically with stereo pairs the phase switch will be in the same position for both subs."
  5. I might just keep it as a 2 channel system or look into going a passive bottom end or sell some more Sansuis, buy some mono blocks, match it with a good pre and subs No, the 907 Limited is not for sale and is staying. She's a very special amp. I have all manuals and shipping boxes for it as well. I'm going to take my time choosing what I want to pair with the LS5/9's which should be arriving very soon.
  6. That's some of the setups I was thinking. My DAC has analogue RCA & Balanced so if I'm not mistaken, I can run the balanced to the power amp and L & R to each low level sub inputs or go a passive setup with crossovers with attenuation adjustments.
  7. Anyone can chime in. I've got some black Rogers LS5/9's coming which I will be designing stands to suit. I want to add a sealed subs on each channel because the Rogers only go down to around 60Hz. The room is a pig with the lower frequencies so I'm hoping this will help. I'll be using a Sansui 907 Limited I have never hooked up twin subs before using a 2 channel amp, only Theatre systems. Has anyone added twin subs in a situation like mine and what are your thoughts?

  9. Looking to buy a CD transport. Must not be silver. Budget $1500
  10. Wanting to buy 2 X Subs for 2 channel setup. Budget around 2K.
  11. We know Rel is a great brand for 2 channel subwoofers but what other brands do members recommend? They must have high level input.

  14. Update!!!!! I figured out what has happened to my son's JBL Charge 3. My in-laws gave it to him for Xmas last year. I've used it a few times and I hated it. I could never work out why it lacked bottom end and loudness. Well, I finally worked out, the in-laws had bought it from good old Bali. It's a fake. No barcode or serial number, no charger etc. The in-laws wouldn't spend over $100 on a portable speaker. Unbelievable.
  15. Well I finally found a portable speaker in my budget. Decided to buy the Soundcore Motion X600. It looks well built and the sound quality supposed to be pretty good for the price. They have a boxing day sale at the moment for $220 from $300 with free delivery. Merry Christmas to you all!
  16. Looking for a set of Rogers LS5/9 speakers or similar.
  17. My son's doesn't sound anything near that. I wonder if there's a factory reset.
  18. My son has one of these charge 3's. I took it with me to Port Douglas with the wife for the week a month ago. When I used it through Bluetooth, I could not get it to sound any good. I mean it had no bass, bloated mids and the top end was rolled off. I ended up turning it off. My apartment where I was staying, their TV sounded better. I would love to know how to make it sound half decent because it would save me buying another portable speaker.
  19. My son has the JBL charge 3 and I have all the 4 blue LEDs for the EQ but it has no bass. Sounds terrible overall.
  20. I'm interested in the Fugoo XL. Looks like a good buy for sound reproduction.
  21. Correct, required for family and friends. Probably just get an Ultermate ears boom or similar.
