  1. I would say around 26 to 28kg packed. Shipping will be around $60.
  2. Extra Info: Shipping around $60 Australia wide. External condition is very good. One of the channel occasionally has a hissing sound. I am not sure if it is my surround speaker wiring a bit exposed or the amplifier's own issue. Have taken it to a repairer previously and they could not locate the fault. So I went to the Adept Electronics in Adelaide to perform a full service and the unit recapping of capacitors (which from memory costed me around $300) Occasionally (maybe around once every 4-5 movies) I still hear 1-2 sec sudden hiss from one of the surround speaker. I took it back to Adept Electronics and they tested for a week without any issues. So I suspect it could be something in my system that is causing it, not 100% sure as it didn't bother me that much and it is hard to investigate as the unit is very heavy to take in and out of my rack. Other than that the unit works fine. Beautiful amplifier, sounds fantastic. Plenty of power to drive any speakers, it used to drive my B&W 800 series speakers and currently driving the Focal Sopra without any issues. it can drive speakers down to 2Ohms stable. Good for people looking at high-end multi channels amplifier without the price tag or people that want a killer stereo amplifier that can do 400W x 2 (bridged) with channels to spare. 7. Further information: Free shipping Australia wide. Pair of QED Reference Silver Anniversary XT speaker cables. RRP for 2m pair around $300. These are banana plugs terminated. Tip to tip length of each cable is 2.3 metres. Specifications Overview Part of QED's Reference Range, Silver Anniversary XT has been specifically designed as the natural replacement for the multi-award winning Silver Anniversary speaker cable. Combining the features of Silver Anniversary with the added enhancement of X-Tube™ technology to combat the skin effect and deliver stunning detail. High performance low density polyethylene dielectric cuts down on the amount of audio signal energy lost due to cable capacitance. Silver plated 99.999% OFC conductors provides a low frequency path for the audio signal and delivers stunning high frequency detail. X-Tube Technology At low frequencies both X-TubeTM and conventional stranded/solid core speaker cables convey signals in a linear way. However, at high frequencies, X-TubeTM retains a near-linear signal transfer, whereas the conventional cables fail to conduct uniformly across the entire conductor area. In standard speaker cables at high frequencies current flow is highest at the periphery with rapidly deteriorating current density towards the centre of the conductor. The effect of this is to reduce the actual cross sectional area of the cable at 15kHz to less than 75% of that at low frequencies. This results in higher distortion and compromises the performance of the cable. X-TubeTM with polycore technology exhibits much lower self-inductance and is therefore less affected by this problem. The polycore technology reduces loop inductance to levels only achievable using more costly and difficult to terminate cables. So, with more high frequency detail, less distortion and greater performance, X-Tube delivers greater fidelity across the audio spectrum which would otherwise be lost in ordinary cables. Awards What Hi-Fi? awarded the QED Silver Anniversary XT 'Product of the Year' 3 years running and had this to say about this remarkable cable: "nothing else at this price point sounds as superbly balanced and detailed". The History Of QED In 1973 Bob Abraham and Ian Vine founded QED Audio Products and changed the way people think about hi-fi cables. By the time QED 79 strand was launched in 1978, it wasn’t considered' just another speaker cable' but a serious hi-fi component. During 1994 QED conducted the most extensive ever scientific investigation into the effects of speaker cable on hi-fi system performance. Read the results in “The Genesis Report”. Hear the results whenever you listen to your favourite music using QED cables. QED's reputation for innovation and technical excellence is known throughout the world. The latest computer-aided design techniques allow their research and development team to keep pace with technological advances and deliver products that achieve the highest levels of performance and reliability. This is why QED speaker cables are recommended by so many of the world’s leading manufacturers of hi-fi and home theatre equipment. QED is Europe's number one award winning connectivity brand and has won more prestigious cable awards from ‘What Hi-Fi? Sound & Vision’ magazine than any other brand (Awards 1981–2013). - QED - The Sound Of Science Photos:

  11. I recently changed racks and it definitely make a difference to the sound. Generally, I find wood sounds a bit more natural, stone sounds a bit more fast and detailed but the vocal tends to be not as sweet as wood. I used the spikes + herbies gliders to "decouple" the shelves and the results are very good.
  12. Svs subwoofers are good bang for buck. Sealed sub is preferred for music for cleaner bass
  13. Hi, I have owned both and I would say the PWD is far superior to the M51. I find the M51 sounded rather flat in comparison. This is via USB connection, I would imagine having the I2S will make things even better.

  15. Item: iFI GroundHog+ kit. Location: Adelaide Price: $70 ($15 shipping Australia wide) Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Paypal. EFT Extra Info: This is actually a Groundhog+ If you have buzzing or hum in your system then this may help you get rid of it. I've even had a tiny tingle when touching some devices such as cheap DVD players at home. Lack of grounding is sometimes found in devices such as MAC computers or DACS. Where there are differences in grounding between devices. e.g. An amplifier with grounding is connected to a DAC without grounding. The Groundhog creates a ground on devices to ameliorate these issues. Pictures: Video Explanation: Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  16. Item: IFI AC Purifier Noise Isolator Location: Adelaide Price: $100 ($15 Australia wide) Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: NLR Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Manufacturer's Description: The mains power supply is the ‘gasoline’ that fuels an audio system. And, whether it is clean or contaminated, it has a material impact upon the quality/enjoyment of playback. The AC iPurifier is the latest iFi product from the ‘power products’ stable to clean-up noisy mains supplies. It is no ordinary mains purification product. Technologically advanced, it’s an active not a passive product so it goes above and beyond and cancels far more noise across the frequency range than other passive devices. This chart compares the AC iPurifier (green line), which is ACTIVE, versus generic mains filters (red line) which are typically passive The effective noise reduction difference is as different as night and day. Latest purification product to benefit from ANC technology Since developing Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) in-house, we have utilized it in all the relevant products from the iPower all the way up to the micro iUSB3.0. The AC iPurifier is the latest product to have onboard ANC. As its name suggests, it ACTIVELY cancels the noise which makes it one of the power accessories, if not the only one, that actively cancels noise. Wireless Purification System The Wireless Purification System (WPS) is a complex circuit that reduces power line noise without audible or measured side-effects. This is important because such solutions, while attempting to curb noise, also hamper dynamics. This is not the case with the AC iPurifier. Modular design to supress noise With many modern audio systems, there are typically a plethora of mains plugs. All of these add their own unwanted noise issues and pollute the local mains supply. The design of the AC iPurifier is such that it is even more effective if several are used to ‘contain’ the same type of noisy sources. You can insert into the AC mains wall outlet that supplies the audio system OR insert into the mains extension block for the audio system. Try both locations to discover which has the greatest impact on improved sonics. i. MUCH better at -40dB and ii. Effective across the frequency range. A passive purifier filters only in the very top-end of the frequency range. Every audio system benefits The AC iPurifier was designed to be used in ANY mains powered audio system. It is particularly effective at dealing with modern audio systems that have an abundance of generic and varied power supplies (see next section for a more detailed, technical explanation). Where extension blocks are used, the AC iPurifier can be used to isolate certain types of power supplies for the maximum noise reduction.
  17. Take the cable cover off, you be surprised how much better it sounds without it.
