  1. I can vouch for the Sound quality of Primare. I’ve had (actually still got) a P30 and 31.7 (both pre/pros) and can say that they are as good as any stereo 2 channel preamp you’re likely to find. They didn’t have HDMI but that didn’t effect the sq. I just used them as stereo preamps. Since trying to “update” to a more recent cinema amp I’m not enjoying dvds as much and subsequently given up on surround sound. the price including all the extras seems very good value. Glwts
  2. Further information: I bought these fabulous speakers new in June 2020. They are quite amazing but don’t suit my room. Everyone knows about the sensational beryllium tweeters and they are exactly what the reviewers rave about. Sweet and clear. If you like to hear everything in percussion, piano and guitar I haven’t heard any better. The brushes on a drum or the thwack on the skins is creepy. The problem I have is that my lounge/listening room is a bass desert. In order to hear the prodigious bass (and they do produce great bass) I have to move my sofa so far forward to be in the one ba

  4. Further information: This Nova is like new, bought at the end of March and still under warranty. I am selling it because I need a bit more power for my Sopras.. Everyone knows about the famed pace of the Naim products and this is no exception. The Nova is fast and dynamic but probably a bit too dynamic for my musical tastes which tend to be more soft like jazz, vocals and classical. The Nova is bold and I can’t deny it has the fun factor and likes to boogie but I want something a bit more laid back and more power. I treat all my gear with kid gloves and in this particular cas
  5. Item: WTB: Van den Hul The First Ultimate mk 11 - 1m length RCA interconnects Price Range: market price Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: Clean good condition Please don't forget to report your post as FOUND when possible. (You can now delete this text).
  6. Further information: I used these for four months while I had my Dyn C1s but haven’t used them since I sold the speakers earlier this year. The top plates have never been used because I used the adapter plates which I included with the C1s. The top plates have only been attached for the photos. Unfortunately I can’t ship as the box was damaged when I received them. But the speakers are unmarked. I like the silver because they are modern and you can’t see any dust ? These retail for $950 so at this price they are a bargain because you wouldn’t tell the difference between these and
  7. Yes I agree they are very musical as long as you can accept they don’t go very low. But great with a subwoofer.
  8. Further information: Selling my fabulous Sonus Faber surround speakers. For anyone into high quality surround sound these are amazing. I haven’t used them in a long time so no point in hanging on to them. Unfortunately when I was taking them off the wall I was clumsy and bent one speaker post. Attila put two new ones in and checked everything else and gave it a clean bill of health. That’s why you will find two different coloured posts on one speaker. They are beautifully presented in leather wrapping (so Sonus Faber) and apart from the speaker posts they are in perfect condition. W
  9. Further information: This amp was made for Lexicon by Bryston and marketed by Bryston as well under their model no. 5B ST. The specs of the Lexicon and Bryston are identical: 120 w x 3 ch into 8 ohms or 200 x 3 ch into 4 ohms. It is also THX certified. Two of the channels can be bridged giving you 400 w into 8 ohms and one ch at 120 w. The amp works perfectly and is built like a tank but unfortunately is not immune to having another monster amp on top of it and dragging the monster without lifting it. Consequently as you can see there are a few marks on the top of the amp. I have

  12. This is a piece of history which should be snapped up by anyone interested in audio. Unfortunately my house is not big enough for two sets of speakers
  13. Further information: I am selling my Marantz SR5010 because it doesn’t get any use. I haven’t used HT for over a year and it has just been sitting idle. And when I was using it, it was very sparingly. Apart from giving a very good picture it was also very musical. I have never used the Dolby Atmos or the radio or Spotify. It has so many functions but I only used it for the occasional movie. it comes with the original box and accessories. Can’t remember seeing an AM antenna but I guess it’s no big deal. I can ship at buyer’s cost. Photos: PLEASE READ If you ar
  14. Further information: This great amp deserves to be put to good use by someone who needs lots of lovely clean power and dynamics. It is a brute of an amp putting out 120 wpc. The 30.5 is designed as 5 independent blocks each with a separate transformer and power supply for the ultimate in stability and channel separation. There is a dent on the bottom left hand side of the amp which I did because it is so heavy that I bumped it against another amp. But you can’t see it from the front. Checked all the channels and all working fine. sorry
  15. For anyone in Melbourne this is a steal. Ian Robinson is in Emerald and he would fix it quite quickly I’m sure. The Redgum sound is warm and full and a great match for bright speakers. And the 60wpc is only nominal. I bet the actual power is considerably more. My 120 ENR is around 170 wpc. In 20 years I’ve had just one fault -a mosfet failed which Ian fixed in a few minutes for a reasonable price while I waited and chatted to Lindy (obviously pre COVID). I use mine as a power amp only because I’m too lazy to get up and change the volume manually. A very underrated brand.
  16. I was using various amps and Focal Sopra 1 speakers. Would be great for dull or warm speakers but too much detail for my Sopras.
  17. Just had one on home trial for a few weeks. Beats the hell out of my Nova. With the right speakers it is amazing. Very dynamic and detailed.
