  1. Friends, I am looking to add one of these TTs to my system. Has anyone heard both of them or using any of them to share some opinions ? From the user reports, the PTP upgrade along with an upgraded bearing and platter makes the Lenco a very formidable machine. Similarly with the Schopper upgrade the TD-124 also goes to a higher plane. I have not heard a 124 in a long time so I am looking for some first hand opinions here on these TTs.
  2. Hi, I am selling an Audiospecials Phonolab 1.0 phonostage. It is a 2 box dual mono phonostage, made in Germany. It has both MM and MC inputs via seperate circuits. The MM supports 4 gain choices 36db, 40db, 44db and 48db. The MC input supports 4 gains choices 58db, 62db, 66db and 70db. It comes with a very special Recompizer circuit which is similar to various EQ curves. It has both RCA and XLR outputs. The PSU has the ability to support another phonostage module if you want to use 4 tonearms feeding 4 independent phonostages. All in all, a very sophisticated top level design from Germany. Here are some details: https://www.audiospecials.de/en/index.html https://www.fidelity-magazin.de/2018/04/29/fidelity-award-winner-2018-audiospecials-phonolab/ https://www.audionirvana.org/forum/the-audio-vault/analog-playback/phonostages/87673-great-phono-preamp https://www.audionirvana.org/forum/the-audio-vault/analog-playback/phonostages/87673-great-phono-preamp/page2 Comes with original flight case. Asking $5500. Contact me at 98500407
  3. For sale is a 1 meter pair of studio grade shielded interconnects made by EMT engineer Dusch Studiotechnik in Germany. These are specially built to handle Low level signals coming from turntables, CD players, phonostages and preamps. EMT has a history of producing well engineered products without any voicing or coloration. Expect the same from these interconnects. Very quiet and uncolored sound. Asking $75 for a pair (non-negotiable). Contact me at 98500407. Here are the pics:
  4. Hi, I am selling a highly upgraded Loricraft restored Garrard 301 (oil bearing) turntable along with a special tonearm. This turntable has gone through complete strip down restoration. Here are the details: 1. The motor has been restored with NOS parts from the original Garrard motor. These spare parts are only available with Loricraft. As per their assessment, my motor is as good as NOS. 2. Platter has been refinished to make it absolutely true and even (see picture) 3. The main bearing has been reworked to improve the tolerance to a much higher level. As per Loricraft it is quieter than a NOS grease bearing. It is the same job they do for their 501 models. 4. All new springs, linkages, grommets and bushings as per NOS Garrard standards. Just the cost of this entire restoration was $1900 (excluding the cost of the 301) Additionally, there are some very important mods: 1. Kokomo Mk2 bearing upgrade 2. Audio Silente idler wheel 3. Woodsong Audio brake wheel 4. Western electric power cord 5. Funkfirm Achromat platter mat The plinth was specially imported from Russia and is made of multiple layers of baltic birch ply. Tonearm: This is a magnetic bearing tonearm (like Schroeder). It replaced my SME M2-12. A very quiet, neutral and accurate sounding tonearm. For more info, please contact me as it is not a commercial product. Asking $5600 with tonearm. If you do not want the tonearm then let me know, we can work it out. Contact me at 98500407
  5. Selling this legendary Technics SP-10 Mk3 fully done up by Steve Dobbins. The plinth has been designed to be extremely heavy, rigid and neutral using combinations of materials that eliminates resonance and voicing. The TT is directly coupled to the plinth which, as per Dobbins philosophy, is very essential for the very high torque motor used in the Mk3. This also eliminates any residual dryness that is associated with these direct drives. It is like listening to a reel to reel system, very dynamic and direct sound with no coloration and no dryness. This comes complete with Stillpoint Ultra footers. This is what Dobbins had to say about this TT: "It has had all of its capacitors replaced with high quality Panasonic units. All other needed parts have been replaced and proper adjustments made for optimal durability, speed accuracy and stability. The power supply was originally a 100v unit but has been internally changed to now accept only 110-125v. The power supply is in above average condition both inside and out. By placing the MK3 motor unit in direct contact with the proper materials, the standard MK3 "dryness" is almost completely eliminated. Leading edge impacts are significantly improved. Textures and image definition improve(a result of great speed control). Background noise is essentially gone. The sound quality is up there with the very best in the world. An FYI, my plinths contain different materials for each motor unit. So my Garrards use a completely different formula than the SP10 MKII which is completely different from my Commonwealth plinths and so on. The MK 3 is a unique beast and I have spent years finding the right balance of materials to tame its few shortcomings. I have a good supply of spare parts for these and will be able to service this TT if the need should arise. I have to say, once the caps have been updated, these have motor units have been solid performers with basically no problems. Of all the serviced MK3's I have sold over the years, only one speed chip has had to be changed. They are over built for dependability. " I have compared the new Technics 1200G and Sp10-R to the older Sp-10 Mk2 and Mk3 extensively. The older ones are still much much better when it comes to conveying the life and dynamics of real music. The new ones sound more like typical modern TTs, very audiophile-like but without that life and presence. The torque of the Mk3 gives it that speed and grandeur which none of the other Technics (new or old) can match. With the Dobbins mod it competes with the best out there. Asking $9500. Contact me at 98500407 Here is a pic of the TT:

  17. I am selling an excellent condition Technics Sp-10 Mk2 turntable. It is very rare to find this legendary deck in such condition these days. It comes with a rare Technics PSU which can handle all voltages from 110 to 220 volts (50 or 60hz). It is in flawless condition operationally. All it needs is a good ply/wood plinth to get going unless you would like to use it in the naked form (which is also a tested recipe). I will also provide an upgraded Oyaide BR-12 TT mat which is considered to be a great match for this TT. This package also includes a Gingko Audio Cloud 11 isolation platform. It is specially designed to isolate turntables which doesnt have suspension in-built. Asking price $2950 for the package. Contact me at 98500407
  18. I am considering the TT only. The arm is out of my Budget. There were some reports that the TT sounds a bit thin (digital like), that’s with its own simplicity tonearm and zyx universe Cart. It was compared against feickert firebird in that review. Could it be a tonearm-cartridge mismatch ?
  19. Folks, I am trying to gather some feedback on the Thales Compact III turntable. I am considering it as my next upgrade. The reviews are mixed so some user feedback would be very useful.
