  1. Further Information: Self Explanatory USB A to USB B in good condition was being used after my USB Regen but I decided to change Dacs which has a USB C connection. Shipping is included to simply things . Worth a try if you're Curious
  2. Yes the fast motor might be an adjustment but sometimes it can be the polyester cap that controls the motor . Anyway yes he does the only hold up would be the wait on parts whether they are belts or Mouser , Element 14 getting the caps or variable resistor out . I'm in Drouin p.m perhaps we can meet half way. I was brought up in Greensborough I thought that was ironic
  3. As I said earlier I know a savant with tape decks he will fix it in record time if you are willing to send it to him or me I will get to him and return it to you in person . It will be around $100 plus say $15 delivery . PM if you are interested he fixed a Yamaha K2000 Denon DRM-740 and a Tascam 122mkii and a Luxman K113 within 2 weeks .
  4. Further Information: Lovely sounding Nagaoka cartridge this is their 80th Anniversary Offering way way better than the MP110 but with the signature Nagaoka sound so smooth yet detailed and a better bottom end. Yes you can listen if you are local or fancy a drive unfortunately don't have the box but it will be packaged beyond the capabilities of Aussies Post to destroy things . Postage is included . The cartridge stylus has about 100 hours on it .
  5. You need to have some kinda passive crossover components for the subwoofer which would be a low pas to it and really a high pass for the then mids and tweeters. Ideally blocking off where the sub amp was located too . It could be as simple as say an inductor to the sub, and a cap to the higher to the mids woofers . First you need to know The subs impedance my bet would be 4 ohms
  6. I know a guy in Yannathan absolute genius less than $125 . You would need send it message me if you want to go ahead it would be less depending on belts and or parts
  7. Is it lack of high frequency as well ? They are really getting up there in age could be a cap if they output coupled . Could be a simple as the heads need demagnetising.
  8. I would try 3D printing over the original bearing ?
  9. Instantly attracted to these, good luck with the sale
  10. Further Information: Album has just washed in my Ultrasonic cleaner and is in very good condition as is the cover. Postage would be around $13- 14 bucks new inner cover supplied too
  11. The only Music Fidelity amp I had was an integrated A1000 or something like that I thought it was garbage . I even opened it up thinking I'd find burnt resistor or leaking main caps anything to excuse its abysmal sound . Cheap no name caps throughout but no everything measured okay. I was so disappointed a brand I always looked up to .
  12. The Music Fidelity was that bad ! Must check out any reviews
  13. Further Information: The LP has been washed in my ultrasonic cleaner and is in pretty good condition . Postage should be around $12.00 to most destinations includes new inner and outer sleeves
  14. Webspares parts would have them and their freight appears reasonable but they aren't in Australia
  15. Further Information: Great sounding USB cable about 3 or 4 years old but barely used
  16. Take the platter off and secure the tonearm , put some soft towels on a table and turn the turntable over being gentle with the lid . It should support it okay . Undo the screws holding the base on then take a photo or four and upload them here. That way we can advise what to do next
  17. Exactly but some have positional screws to do with electronic braking which stops the platter rotating at a certain position. Either way lubricating it by cleaning off the old grease with isopropyl alcohol and reapplying it is a good idea.
  18. Could I get dimensions please width And diameter of the tweeter ?
  19. To me definitely sounds like a motor starting causing a sag in the mains power often heard when fluro lights are turned on or the fridge motor turns on . I hope that helps narrow down things
  20. Way overpriced , and why a receiver do you listen to FM still ? I know they do look pretty though I would go for an old Sony Integrated
  21. I use Oyaide Class A you can get them from Manny's I think or look on ebay
