These cables are incredibly stiff and a complete bugger to dress, however they are a fantastic cable. Did wonders for my Ayre/Proac combination. Sorry as indicated in the description, there is no phono stage.

The preamp currently has gold lion tubes fitted, I preferred them to the original tube complement.

Further information: I bought this unit last year from Bill Mclean and it has been a revelation. It is a great pre amp at least as good as the Audible Illusion 3A that I have owned in the past. I used it with an Ayre V-3 power amp (also for sale) and it was an awesome combination. But as always happens, I heard a system that was a small but noticeable improvement over that combination, albeit at a significant price hike, so therefore I need to sell. I have cut and pasted the information below from a previous advertisement and there are plenty of reviews out there on various forums.

Additional Information: this is a really reluctant sale, but I’ve got to pay for the new amp so I have no choice. This integrated amplifier changed my perception of what high end audio can deliver. Incredibly musical with power that seems to transcend its 60 watts per channel. There are so many great reviews of this unit, I’ll leave anyone interested to scan the internet. Powering my ProAc Response D2’s was a match made in heaven, it has taken something far more expensive to beat that experience. Originally selling for over AUD $5000, this a true high end bargain.
