  1. No, it has not been fitted with the phono stage - sorry.
  2. Item: Elektra Pnyx Pre Amplifier Location: Bathurst Price: $3250 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Trying put put some funds together to buy a Vitus Audio RI-101. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought this new from Bill Mcleans and it is everything he promised and more. I upgraded the valves to Gold Lion E88CC Valves and I recon they sound better than the stock Sovteks (from memory). I will include the original tubes which have about 40 hours on them. The sound is in my opinion not the typical tube sound. It does not have a rosy glow, rather it presents the music in a straight forward detailed and dynamic way. I have tried numerous pre-amps in the past, and the only one that has come close, is the Modulus 3a pre-amplifier. The PNYX is better. 3. Item: Ayre Acoustics V-3 Balanced Power Amp Location: Bathurst Price: $2250 Item Condition: Good used. Reason for selling: I am trying to put some funds together to buy a Vitus RI-101. I am trying to see if there is any interest in this power amp. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I don’t need to talk up Ayre Acoustics electronics. They have an enviable reputation for very high quality audio and this unit is no different. It drives my Magneplanars with great aplomb speakers which a lot of other high quality amps have had difficulties driving to their full capability. Top to Bottom this amp delivers superb quality sound, a deep wide sound stage and dynamics to die for. Read the reviews, I can’t do this amp justice. If you have interest please contact me. I can take other images on request. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  4. Item: Emotiva XSP-1 Pre-Amplifier Location: Bathurst Price: $550 Item Condition: excellent Reason for selling: Consolidated my sound system into a dedicated listening room/office so I don’t need a second (third?) system. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought this unit recently for a fellow SNA’er. But since setting up my dedicated listening room I don’t need the pre-amp (I use a Elektra PNYX in the main system). This pre-amp pleasantly surprised the heck out of me. I only used it with balanced inputs so I cant say what the unbalanced inputs sound like, but it was lively without being in your face and helped throw a credible sound stage. The unit is extremely quiet and has plenty of gain. Whilst the connectors are there on the back, I don’t believe there is a phono board installed in this unit. in the right system I don’t think this unit will disappoint. I have the original packing, manual and remote. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  5. Item: Stello DP 200 PreAmp/DAC Location: Bathurst Price: $500 Item Condition: Good used condition- see images Reason for selling: Got me a dedicated listening room which means I no longer need two DACS. My Auralic Vega will remain my primary DAC. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought this recently from a fellow SNA’er and used it to good effect in my old office. However I have now brought everything into a new listening room. Whilst this DAC dates back to 2004, it certainly keeps up with the new crop of DACS. This is an up sampling DAC which I’ll up sample to 24/192, however it only accepts inputs up to 24/96. As good as the DAC is, the great thing with this unit is that it features a class A pre-amp as well potentially reducing the equipment count by one. The sound is dynamic without being bright or edgy the only area for me that did not quite jell was the very low base where it sounded slightly recessed at least to my ears. I preferred this unit with the AES/EBU input although the unbalanced SPDIF wasn’t bad either. i have the original packing, manual and remote. 6. Item: Ayre Acoustics CX-7eMP Location: Bathurst Price: $1750 - I’ve been told my original price was to high. I will consider reasonable offers Item Condition: Good used condition - see images Reason for selling: Most of my CD collection has now been ripped and I am using Roon to distribute sound through the house. Since I am selling my AX-7e I thought I should also sell the matching CD player. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: As with my AX-7e I always thought this would be my end game CD Player. Then someone got me into Roon and whilst the sound quality of Roon through my Auralic Vega doesn’t quite reach the standard of this CD player, I can live with the slight reduction in quality. it’s hard to describe just how good (and different) this CD player sounds compared with just about anything else I have listened to. The presentation is natural, without any exaggeration, relaxed, beautiful renditions high frequencies. In my opinion it works best on the balanced outputs, the unbalanced outputs are not bad, balanced is just better. this in an original Australian (240V) unit. I don’t have the original packing or manual. It comes with a third party remote that operates all its functions. i will throw in a spare (new) laser/drawer unit which I purchased in case I have problems with the unit (I never have). 7. Item: Ayre Acoustics AX-7e Location: Bathurst NSW Price: $1750 - I’ve been told my original price was too high! I will consider reasonable offers Item Condition: Excellent for its age. See attached images Reason for selling: Saving up for a Vitus RI-101 Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I thought I would never part with this amp. I’ve owned it for three years and it has given me enormous satisfaction. However, I now have a dedicated listening room/office so naturally I want to go a little bigger (but perhaps not necessarily better). The AX-7e is a Stereophile Class A rated integrated that is famous for its performance and value. It puts out 60w into 8 ohms and 120w into 4 ohms. The amp has both balanced and single ended inputs, I have always driven it balanced end to end. I have run it with a wide variety of speakers and it drives my ProAc Response D2’s beautifully - a match made in heaven so to speak. This one is an original Australia (240v) unit, however I do not have the original packaging, manual (downloadable) or remote. 8. I haven’t died yet so interested - at least for the next four days
  9. Item: Denon HEOS streamer endpoint Location: Bathurst NSW Price: $200 ono plus shipping Item Condition: Excellent 9/10 Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I bought this unit recently and it works really well. Great sound easy to setup and plugs into a wide variety of music sources including music servers, USB drives, tidal etc. it does not work as a Roon endpoint however, and at the moment I am committed to using Roon in all rooms. I used it in conjunction with a Dac via a spdif cable but can used as a Dac with analog outputs (single ended RCA) ready to connect to an amplifier. comments from the previous owner: “I had it in a seldom used second system with some power monitors (RCA out can be set to variable or fixed) and it did a great job and has plenty of inputs, see the spec page https://usa.denon.com/us/heos-link-series1 and online manual http://manuals.denon.com/HEOSLINK/ALL/EN/OKNRSYvnefnfwl.php. There are so many ways to play music on this thing, usb, optical, NAS, PC, mobile's library (not blue tooth by Wi-Fi) AUX in and control it all from your mobile. I have the trigger cable, black ethernet and IR extension cable also. So if you have a Marantz or Denon AVR this is a great way to go multi-room. Note there is a subwoofer output too.” Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  10. Thank you for the kind offer David. I am still in two minds on this one, they are one sweet speaker and I can’t walk past them when playing almost any kind of music, I just have to sit down and listen. best lars
  11. Item: ProAc Response D2 Location: Bathurst NSW Price: $2750 or near offer. Item Condition: 8.5/10. Small amounts of wear on the corners of the grills Reason for selling: I’m a Maggie guy from way back. I’ve found a combo that works in my music room Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I am not sure I actually want to sell these so I am testing to see what they are worth and then decide whether to sell or not. There are a good number of reviews extolling the virtues of these speakers so I won’t belabour the point except to say these have lived longer in my music room than any other speakers. To my ears at least, they sound totally natural and neutral. They image like crazy and go low (Below 40Hz if you believe the graphs), I’ve never felt the need for a sub woofer with these speakers. I am happy to take additional pictures on request. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  12. It’s the gold coloured waveform on the front of the chassis
  13. Bargain, I still have mine best sounding CD player I’ve ever owned or heard. GLWS
