  1. Item: Pair of Mullard Reissue EL34 Valves/Tubes Location: West of Melbourne Price: $50 + postage Item Condition: Mint, see below extra info Reason for selling: Only needed a pair Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, bank deposit Extra Info: I purchased a quad from this listing: http://www.stereo.ne...e/#entry1636596 Only needed a pair to start with but figured less hassle separating from the seller when I can just sell the other pair off when they come. 2. Old school rap from underground artists from late 80 to 90`s were only released on LP. I have a good list if you`re interested.

  5. Well majority of them are sitting in Japan. No not a business just when I see something that looks nice or interesting I buy it, repair/give TLC, fix/refurb/rebuild if necessary, play with it then sell it off when I don't need it. Currently I have over 20 amplifiers, 30 + turntables, most of which are in Japan. Not including the stash I have here.
  6. What? They are the same thing just the driver enclosed grill is slightly different to the original HD800 which the folks on SBAF made the mod called the Dupont Resonator to match to that on the HD800S. Both are equally transparent and unforgiving with poor source. We are talking very small differences here even with the old 5-6k and 10k peaks from the original HD800's. Doesn't matter with the gear you can either make the HD800/800S more brighter sounding or roll it off to a certain degree where it is very hard and next to impossible to tell the difference between each other and make it less susceptible for it to sound "edgy" or "bright" but it is still a bright sounding headphone at the end of the day.
  7. Some repair for them because there are some old dual concentric pots of high resistance (250k+) that are unobtainable nowadays used in some amplifiers (like some of my vintage Stax amplifiers).
  8. Item: Denon DP-37F Turntable Location: Melbourne Price: $350 Item Condition: Relatively good for its circa very late 80's vintage, perspex cover has minor scratches, scuffs and wear and tear which all can be polished out. There are minor bumps and nicks on corners and edges of the laminated rosewood vinyl veneer but nothing drastic. Reason for selling: Surplus Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: I'm the second owner, purchased this through my proxy from Japan so it is a 100V model (need a step down). I paid $400 all up to have this EMS'd from Japan to here and one of the better condition DP-37F's out there. No cart is included. I have used and tested the turntable to ensure it works, sounds great, looks great and works great (has a automated queue in tonearm). I have over 30 turntables that I need to have shipped and/or sold to fund for my recent investment in a Thorens Prestige I've spent last few years finding, at last I finally have. Pickup only for this one unfortunately. Pictures:
  9. Item: Moon 100D DAC (Black color) Location: Melbourne Price: $300 Item Condition: Relatively good condition, very minor nicks to face-plate, but nothing drastic. Reason for selling: Surplus Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, Bank Deposit Extra Info: Spare DAC laying around, used in desktop setup, no longer needed. Clean and neutralish sounding, improvements can be made by adding a custom 18v linear DC supply (better than the wallwart supplied). Pictures:
  10. Yep, Billy is an exclusive distributor for JDS Labs products.
  11. Actually you're correct. I personally know that seller and have purchased a few things from him years back, so I got in contact with him and this was his message:
  12. Have to agree with Al here, price is completely off its rockers. They float between $1k to $4k purchased from Japan which looks like it was. Outside markets like ebay and audiogon varies. They are decent tables but not $4 to $5k + good.
  13. Sounds like a tube issue. Resit/swap or replace faulty tubes identified.
  14. Restretching already warped or stretched mylar is a bad idea because you will be changing the frequency response though slightly of that panel as the mylar tension are very specific. A quick fix using a heat gun to expand the warped out area.
  15. Don't waste your time on another CDP, just get a DAC and use your current spinner as a transport to feed the signal to the DAC.
