  2. Replied all your PMs guys. As for the Phono stage, according to Krispy website it does have mm/mc options but I'm not sure if that's MKIII. http://www.krispyaudio.com.au/products/Bladelius-Tyr-Integrated-Amplifier.html A bit more spec on this site: http://www.prisjakt.nu/produkt.php?e=849538 - the DAC is 24/192 as said.
  3. Due to life and career change, I'm moving out of Syd in two months time. I don't expect to take these gears with me, so need to clear the large items. I only picked up this hobby no more than 3 years ago and soon followed with the arrival of a baby so they are very lightly used. I'm not posting them, Sydney buyers pickup is preferred. Though you can arrange your own couriers. * Item : Bladelius Tyr Novatis MKII * Location: Hornsby, NSW * Item condition description: cosmetically and functionally excellent with original packaging, remote control and user manual included. * Price: $2200 ($20 donation to SNA) Sold * Reason for selling I'm moving and this cannot go with me sadly. * Payment Methods: Cash on pickup, bank transfer * Extra Info: I bought this from Cam of Krispy Audio as a demo in the end of 2012. This is the Novatis MKII version with DAC and Phono Stage. Original thread can be found here http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/index.php?/topic/46105-fs-bladelius-tyr-integrated-amp-ex-demo/ I got this at very good condition, and it saw very light use because the arrival of my baby girl soon after. I always planned to match it with a pair of Audio Physic or Legend Kama mini towers but see no chance any more. * Pictures * Item : Lenehan ML1 in dark metal grey * Location: Hornsby, NSW * Item condition description: in great condition, I don't see any damages, though aluminum flight cases are not included so not suitable to post. * Price: $900 sold * Reason for selling I'm moving and these cannot go with me sadly. * Payment Methods: Cash on pickup, bank transfer * Extra Info: I bought from another SNAer in 2013, due to my curiosity on the Lenehan sound. I played it 3 times at most, because they don't really match my amp. I was always hopping to buy a dedicated power amp to drive these little monsters, however due to change in life I don't see I can make use of them in the near future. So let them go to good hands. * Pictures * Item : Paradigm Studio 10 V5 in cherry with matching J-29 v2 stands in black & Signal cable jumper cables * Location: Hornsby, NSW * Item condition description: great condition with original packaging, no scratches, marks or whatsoever, stands are filled with sand * Price: $780 Sold * Reason for selling I'm moving and this cannot go with me sadly. * Payment Methods: Cash on pickup, bank transfer * Extra Info: I bought them from Eastwood Hifi in Mid 2012 - $900 for the speakers and $400 for the stands, the jumper cable was bought separately from a SNAer earlier but I'll throw it in as well. Now selling them altogether at $780. These are fun little speakers made in Canada. moderately used in the 1st half year but saw no much use since 2013. * Pictures * Item : SoundStyle 3 tier rack (could be XS310) * Location: Hornsby, NSW * Item condition description: some very fine cracks on paint but other than that I see no problem * Price: $150 Sold * Reason for selling I'm moving and this cannot go with me. * Payment Methods: Cash on pickup, bank transfer * Extra Info: I'm not exactly sure about its model number, could be XS310 according to Google results. Be noted the amp in the picture is not included, and the koala on top is negotiable * Pictures
  4. Been impressed by a few latest releases: Otto a Totland - Pino 3+ - Kazesarai Illuha - Akari Opitope - Physis Ambient or modern classical, there is only a fine line, I don't care, just listen. But to my surprise, 3 of them are Japanese.
  5. I think this USB splitter might be working in your case, however not sure if the thing would affect SQ http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-2-0-Mini-Manual-Share-Switch-2-Way-Port-Splitter-1-Printer-Device-to-2-PCs-/370732574891
  6. Definitely support fellow Aussie musicians! Talking about Room40, anyone in Brissie attended their live concerts yet? Scanner will be on in Jun which makes me very itchy. This suddenly reminds me a list of accomplished Aussie ambient musicians, to name a few Oren Ambarchi, Seaworthy, Chris Abrahams, Eugene Carchesio, Ben Frost, John Chantler...
  7. I heard some arbiters on head-fi have opinions on v-moda boss Val Kolton, thinking he's over-hyped, hence in the circle, the brand has been degraded to sort of Bose level or whatsoever Dunt have experiences on v-moda personally so cannot say
  8. Is this the one? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/985573 I dunt have a prob though with 27.0.1.
  9. Isolation pads work fine for me, maybe try adam hall they cheap & they hold the little ML1 monsters without deformity. http://www.amazon.com/Adam-Hall-SPADECO2-Monitor-Isolation/dp/B007YFWUDO/ref=sr_1_1

  12. Spot on! Boundless darkness, though Grados are no good match for this style of jazz. ECM experimental jazz is more towards improvisational "free jazz" direction with far less predictable slow tempo beats & more agile saxophones/trumpets, though sometimes no less darkness. Scandinavian jazzmen Deathprod and Supersilent are my top picks considering Rune Grammofon as an ECM sub-label. I actually found very few musicians are dedicated to this style. Some related electronic jazz musicians I found no less attractive such as Kammerflimmer Kollektief and Tied & Tickled Trio.
  13. Over the past few months I've been immensely enjoying a style called doom jazz. Here is a short definition on last.fm. Doom jazz is a form of music that combines the slow tempos, and sense of despair of doom metal with jazz style and sensibility. The music usually conveys an aura of pessimistic introspection, and many of the artists incorporate dark ambient influences into their music. Some of my favourite artists are Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation, Dale Cooper Quartet, etc. Here is a clip from Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, hope someone here share the same interest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcDfVsQ-qhY
  14. Impressed by the demo pair in the Syd show year before, guess that was Finn. Wish I had a room like that in the pic, hence the infinite possibilities ...
  15. I remember Eastwood hifi had Triangle Color 123 on clear for 400(?). they darn good at the price & their wild color easily woo your in-law. not sure they still on sale though
  16. Funny though I've never been really into Eno's classic ambient, I dunt hesitate to call myself an ambient junkie. My most favorite ambient musicians are Andrew Chalk and Richard Skelton, every piece of their work is a marvel. Some other classical ambient albums I really enjoy: Global Communication - 76:14 Tetsu Inoue - World Receiver O Yuki Conjugate - The Euphoria Of Disobedience Taylor Deupree - Northern The Boats - Ballads Of the Darkroom Tim Hecker - Ravedeath 1972 Van Der Papen - Path (EP) Jasper TX - An Index of Failure Part Timer - Real to Reel M. Ostermeier - Lakefront Biosphere - Substrata Notime - Living Planet / Dying Planet Aaron Martin - Cello Recycling / Cello Drowning Again, ambient fans may want to check this online shop http://www.store.fluid-radio.co.uk/
  17. An old thread talks about active speakers but that was money no object http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/index.php?/topic/52807-best-active-desktop-speaker-money-no-object/
  18. The Extreme label is a goldmine. Unfortunately for similar reason as Dead Can Dance parted Australia, Extreme moved from Melbourne to US years ago. Here is an insightful interview to the boss Roger Richards back in 90's http://music.hyperreal.org/library/publicity/extreme/roger_richards_interview
  19. eGlobal has it for $279 http://www.eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au/sennheiser-hd600-on-ear-headphones.html , but I'm afraid they'd charge more than $40 postage. Same as Kogan, they are grey imports from HK. However if authentic, they pretty durable pair of cans which lasts more than 5 years easily, so 2 year producer warranty may not be that necessary unless defective on arrival.
  20. Item: Sennheiser HD600 headphones Location: Sydney Price: $265 postage inclusive AU wide Item Condition: almost mint, I cannot see any damages, maximum 20 hours head time Reason for selling: Not being used Payment Method: Paypal, Cash on pickup Extra Info: The funny thing was, yesterday when I almost finished this FS thread, my browser crashed during attaching photos. When came back to the Classfield I found HD650 and HD800 were leading the threads. So I decided to postpone a day. I bought this pair in early 2013 brand new. Comes with stock cable and all the original packaging. For the types of music I listen to, I prefer Grado, Shure and B&W sounds, so the Senns didn't get much of use. Photos:
