  1. Item: Pair of Goodmans Midax 100 Horn Speakers. Location: Mornington, Vic. Price: $500 ono. Item Condition: Good for age. Reason for selling: Haven't used for a while. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These very rare pieces work all well and in very good condition for their age as can see in the photos. Great for HiFi collector and (this exact model) is famous for being used by The Beatles in Vox (ac50 and ac100 I believe) amps specially designed for them so as to play loud enough over screaming girls as the Vox AC15 and AC30 weren't up to the job. Extremely rare in Australia (in fact the only pair possibly for sale in the world at the moment). As I understand, the "100" was the best of the models, used by The Beatles and has a metal (larger/longer) horn whereas the lesser models had plastic and shorter (as well as less power handling). Also have a pair of Goodmans Trebax 100's (1 needs new diaphragm). $500 ono. Can Post.

  3. Item: Toshiba SS-30 Loudspeakers. Location: Mornington (or pickup Prahran). Price: $800 obo. Item Condition: Very good for age. Reason for selling: Minimalizing. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: These are very well known and sought after for those who know. They are in very good condition for age; a few light scratches around yet mostly in excellent condition. They are incredibly rare in both Australia and also anywhere in the world. These are from about 1965 and were very advanced for that time having the option for tri-amplification, a passive woofer and all AlNiCo drivers. They are (conservatively) rated at 40 watts and have an efficiency rating of 100db so they will play surprisingly loud..actually very LOUD before any distortion. Their detail and definition is what sets these apart. I have been doing some listening of these lately and have been hearing things in songs I haven't heard in my Kef Reference speakers. They have a nice non-fatiguing sound with speed and accuracy similar to high end studio monitors. In perfect working order and with the midrange dust cap popped out successfully. There's not a lot written online about these due to rarity however much can be learnt from these following links. The internal (last) photo was appreciatively borrowed. http://stevem1960.blogspot.com/ (About halfway down the page) Photos:
  4. Hi, sorry for late reply..just noticed question. Here they are...
  5. Item: Harman kardon 800+ Quad Receiver Location: Mornington, Vic. Price: $400 Item Condition: As below. Reason for selling: Don't use. Payment Method: - Cash, Direct Bank Deposit. Extra Info: Incredibly rare piece. Works perfectly and has an amazing sound. Similar to the highly revered HK930 of the same era. Wood case is pretty shabby but mostly on 1 side and an oil would probably help in a big way. True dual mono design. Classic quad receiver that sounds incredible in stereo as well. This model was very well rated amongst Sansui and Marantz models which sell for big money these days. Although selling for US$599 in the early 70's was a very expensive piece. Mornington. Can post.

  7. Item: Hypex Custom Made Self Powered Studio Monitor Speakers Location: Mornington, Vic Price: $500 Item Condition: Very Good Reason for selling: Freeing up space. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: The sale is for a pair of custom made speakers with accessories: + 2x Custom Made Speakers (Full Details Below) + 2x Vonyx stands + 2x XLR Cables + 2x XLR-To-Balanced Jack Adaptors + 2x Neutrik PowerCon Power Cables + 1x Roll of Black Natural-Wood-Texture Adhesive Film These are very impressive speakers with incredible clarity of sound. They go pretty loud also. Can be custom tuned through software also. Will be impressed! This is the 3rd revision of a pair of very high-end speakers that I designed and hand made myself for our own listening pleasure and now with the changing lifestyle they are for sale. Please peruse the features: + Structure is All Solid 12mm MDF, glued and screw held, corners rounded, inside reinforced and dampener and absorber high-end car STP foams applied inside + Each speaker features two isolated sections: the lows and the mid-highs + Hypex is an ultra-high end European brand of amplifiers and DSPs. Each speaker is equipped with two 180W UcD180 Hypex Class-D Amps, a 2-way DSP and a Hypex SMPS 400W power supply + The lows are 300mm (12") 100W RMS (150W Max) Woofer Polypropylene Speaker from Altronics (C3070) that have the nicest sound of all that drivers I tried in different configurations including some other very high-end branded ones that costed a fortune. Sound engineering wise they are large and soft and the sound they produced is just that - deep and soft. + The mid and highs are matched pairs. They are European Designed High-End ICON Ultimate Series 6.5" Drivers (60W RMS / 160W Max) with 4x Dome Tweeters (50W RMS / 200W Max each) and a passive crossover between the two designed specifically for this combination. + Digital Signal Processor is a Hypex DSP2W. Through a USB Port it allows you to access a full set of digital speaker management features (screenshot attached). Please note the backplate is a Hypex PSC2.400 plate but this is not the unit itself, behind the plate is a custom built bi-amp detailed above. + TrueRTA Measurement Range Performance Graph Attached for entire system with DSP tuning, 10Hz to 20kHz + XLR input with Passthrough, XLR to Balanced Jack Adaptors Included + PowerCon Power Connection with Passthrough, PowerCon to mains Cables included + Each speaker is of a trapezoid shape measuring 90x37x30cm and weights approximately 22kg + Personally I prefer the raw MDF with fixtures look as its clear that this is hand made and not mass manufactured and thus one of a kind and unique, so I have had them like that since the day I made the first version about 6 years ago, but if you prefer the polished look from your system, I am also including a roll of a self adhesive film wrap that can give these speakers a very nice wooden textured black finish should you wish to apply. 8. Both in excellent condition. Beautiful sounding amp. A lot of power for its 35 watts! Amp $400 Tuner $150 or $500 together. Mornington. Can post.
  9. They are actually in very very good condition (perfect perhaps not). I used a hi res camera so that all imperfections will be highlighted very well so that people can see exactly what is there without hiding anything as a lot of people do. The marks are far less visible in person thats for sure.
  10. Item: B&W 801's Location: Mornington, Victoria. Price: $2650 Item Condition: Excellent. Reason for selling: For a friend. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, EFT. Almost perfect condition from about 1980. A few very small marks, one is missing the badge and neither have the bolts that hold on the mid/tweeter box on top. This doesn't make too much difference at all with anything however I believe these can be found and purchased online. As can see in photo, there is a very small indent in the top of the woofer box on both which was the packaging pushing down the foam. This can be cosmetically fixed very easily however I'll leave this to the purchaser to choose what they may want to do. Besides these, they are in incredible condition regardless of age. Very rare to find these in Australia; and in this condition anywhere in the world. Still with original boxes and packaging, one of the most iconic and collectable speakers there is. Pickup Mornington, Vic or can post (as they still have the boxes
