  1. I read 3 pages and couldn't take any more. You are literally calling out a business for trying to help you and frankly this thread is completely over the top and it's customers like you that make people never want to work retail again. Completely unreasonable. I've owned several belt drive tables (VPI, Rega, Pro-Ject etc) all of them squeaked on start up. VPI even tell people to powder the belt and some of their tables cost like $40k. You're dealing with rubber belts, low torque motors and heavy platters. No **** there's a tiny bit of slip or squeak on start up. Does it affect the sound when the music is playing? No? Then get over it or buy a CD player. Interdyn offered to send you a new belt free of charge, then they explained what the issue was and explained it's quite normal (which it absolutely is), then provided a solution if the noise bothers you (which you decided isn't acceptable) so you start a thread bashing them. Does that about sum it up?
  2. Give me a day or two to decide. I'd prefer local pickup for a quick sale but I'll let you know.

Contemplating an arm upgrade for my PLX-1000. Does anyone know for sure that Technics SL-1200 arm boards fit? Also does anyone know how the standard arm connect to the RCA box? Is it just plugged in?

New headshell.. I have tried to tighten the tonearm bearings again and they are so tight I slipped and scratched the top of the bracket. My own stupid mistake but I think I’m done trying to fix it. They must have used some serious thread lock or something on it.

I have jewelers screwdrivers. Did you have a link to the Jaycar one?

Just got a PLX-1000 today. Took advantage of a click frenzy offer and eBay code and got it for just over $700. Very impressed so far. Unfortunately mine has a loose arm as do many others. I tried tightening it as directed but I couldn’t get the screw to budge. Worried I’ll break the thing so might just leave it. I have it running a Nagaoka MP-110 and it sounds tops. I’m probably going to grab a Jelco head shell and Achromat and call it a day.

Thanks for the reply. This is basically an end game DAC so I'm sure someone will snap up. GLWS.

Hi, does this have Gen 5 USB and Analog 2? Looks like part of the logo has been scratched off?

    Rega P8

The RP8 has been shipping with the Neo PSU for quite a while so should come with. The RP8 might be a good pick up when prices drop.
  11. It's sold so not an option unfortunately. All I have now is speakers.
  12. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I have made my decisions regarding what gear I actually want. I guess the question I need answered is which option should I choose? More on cart/phono or more on amp?
  13. Thanks for the suggestion. It's possible I can get my hands on a Moon 240i for $2k. What do you think?
