  3. Item: Meier Audio Concerto Headphone Amplifier Location: Bellfield, Victoria Price: sold Item Condition: functionality 10/10, cosmetics 6/10 Reason for selling: surplus to needs Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal + 2.4% Extra Info: I was cleaning up and didn't realise I still had this! It's been a long time since my headphone days and I am only keeping 1 pair of headphones and 1 headamp so this has to go. I plugged it in to have a quick listen and I couldn't believe how good it sounded. Sound is clean & detailed, probably on the slightly dry side but pairs really well with darker sounding headphones like the Sennheiser HD-650. There are some marks at the bottom of the case from when I opened it up to have a look at the op-amps, otherwise it functioned normally when I tested it. Gain switch, cross-feed switch and a DAC chip controlled volume. You can hear the relays clicking when you turn the volume knob. Priced to sell, so please no silly offers or they will just be ignored. Original RRP at USD$750. I will package to ship inter-state as well. Pictures:
  4. Item: NAD M51 DAC (silver) Location: Bellfield, Victoria Price: Sold Item Condition: 9/10, only some hairline scratches on the display which can only be seen up-close at certain angles Reason for selling: upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal + 2.4% Extra Info: Brilliant DAC which kept me away from the upgrade path for many years. Bought it to replace my Wyre for Sound DAC-1 and it beat the DAC-1 in every area imaginable. It was more natural sounding, bigger more realistic staging and timbres were much more natural compared to the DAC-1. Impressive functionality as well as you can use it as a pre-amp directly into your power amp. I found the balanced out-puts to sound better and the best sounding input for me was AES. Compared to my Schiit Yggdrasil at 2.5 times the cost it doesn't fall far behind at all. The M51 still has a bigger soundstage and dreamier vocals, however the Yggdrasil is a bit more detailed but retaining that easy to listen to character. Somedays I still wonder if it was worth buying the Yggdrasil as I could not arrange a home trial for the Yggdrasil so I had to buy it to try it. I am the 1st owner of the M51, and will provide an original purchase receipt (14/5/13) for the buyer. Pick-up is preferred as I have discarded the original boxes when I moved, however if there is firm interest interstate I will be able to package it appropriately for shipping. PM for shipping quotes. Donation will be made upon sale of item. Pictures:

  12. Item: Dynaudio Focus 110 standmount speakers Location: Heidelberg, Vic Price: $1200 RRP: ~$2299 if I'm not mistaken Item Condition: 9/10, purchased in April 2011 Reason for selling: Upgraded:) Payment Method: Pickup - Cash or Direct Deposit Extra Info: Speakers were purchased last year from Stereophonic Docklands, mint condition, slight markings underneath from placing them on top of vibrapods. I am the first owner, receipts available. Have original packaging, manuals & port inserts as well. These speakers are really punchy and dynamic, with a non-fatiguing top-end. They will need some room behind them to breathe though. Enough has been said about them in various reviews, including one by our very own twwen2. http://www.stereo.ne..._90#entry780933 http://www.soundstag...o_focus_110.htm http://www.whathifi....udio-Focus-110/ Serious buyers are welcome to drop by for audition, you will have to bring your own stands as mine are connected to my new speakers. Else we will have to listen to them on chairs Pictures:
