  1. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! A quick update on the warranty, as I just got some clarifications from Alvin from Vinshine. Warranty details explained: https://www.vinshineaudio.com/warranty Warranty is good through to ~end July 2020. It is transferable to the new owner that nabs this unit If any issues come up requiring repair, the unit must be shipped to Denafrips (customer pays for shipping), but all repairs/replacement is covered by Denafrips. I'll put this into the first post as well.
  2. Hello & thanks for your interest! Looking into it, I found a post on Denafrips website https://www.denafrips.com/single-post/2019/06/18/How-To-Upgrade-DSP-Board Dated Jun 2019 & mentioning that the boards have hit mass production. Mine pre-dates that as I got it in 2017. It must be the *original* DSP.
  3. Item: Denafrips Pontus R2R DAC Location: VIC, Hawthorn Price: $1800 Item Condition: Up for sale this is amazing resistor ladder DAC. It is the black version (ref pictures). I had a little trouble staying out of the way of the light, so the patterns you see are my shadow blocking the window. It is as-new, kept in a pet and smoke-free environment. It has a warm, luscious sound with a lovely midrange. Top end is detailed and sweet. You can see the internals here: https://www.denafrips.com/pontus It is a seriously engineered DAC & it sounds amazing. Sad to see it go but my setup has changed around it. It supports DSD & PCM. Purchased from Vinshine audio in Jul 2017, condition is almost new – there’s just some cosmetic wear. There is a tiny little chip in the middle of the front panel which you can slightly see in the photos. I didn’t even notice it until I looked up close for taking photos. The top panel has some shading differences of where I had my little integrated sitting on top of it. You can find reviews online, particularly of the Ares & Terminator which share the same lineage. Unfortunately I did not keep the box. If I need to post, I’ll make sure its well protected. 4. Thanks for looking! I will try local first but if it doesn't work out I'll PM.
  5. Item: Cyrus 7SE integrated amplifier Location: VIC, Hawthorn Price: $200 Item Condition: After finally upgrading I’m looking to find a new home for my much loved Cyrus 7SE integrated amp. This is a 60W per channel into 8 and 74W into 4 ohms amp. I’m its 2nd owner and have had it for ~17 years during which time it has performed admirably. Always kept in a pet and smoke free environment. Selling as-is: I’ve noticed recently that occasionally the volume control was getting a little inconsistent – not that often, but a turn/click might not register and you have to turn it again. It could use some maintenance & TLC by someone that knows how. Even so, it retains all the PRAT and rhythmic ability that the older Cyrus gear has been known for. Includes power cable, cyrus right-angled speaker connectors, AND remote! No boxes / manuals. Reason for selling: No longer in use, upgraded. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Cyrus don’t have a page specifically for the Special Edition, but I think the specs were the same. https://www.cyrusaudio.com/support/other-resources/legacy-products/integrated-amplifiers/cyrus-7/ Electrical Line inputs – 5 Line + 2 Tape Outputs – Bi-wire Loudspeakers, Tape-out, Preamp-out, Headphone Power Supply – 180VA Toroidal transformer with 5 regulated rails External – Highly regulated PSX-R upgradeable Communications – MC-BUS System BUS Remote Control – Supplied with Cyrus Amp/CD/tuner system remote control Specifications Continuous Power – 60W/CH (both driven into 8 Ohms) 74W/CH (both driven into 4 Ohms) With PSX-R – 60W/CH (both driven into 8 Ohms) 90W/CH (both driven into 4 Ohms) Current – 30 Amps peak to peak Distortion – 0.003%, 1kHz (into 8 Ohms) 0.005%, 1kHz (into 4 Ohms) Frequency Response – -3 dB, 1Hz and 80kHz Damping Factor – 80 Sensitivity – (50W) Line: 200mV Input impedance – 50kOhm (RCA). 6. This sounds just perfect. An amplifier with the lot. Any views on timing? I might have to consider what to do with my DAC...
  7. Some ideas for inspiration, I don't know if they break the "design language" 2nd one is if there is only 1 input!
  8. Put me down for one as well! I will go for the black too. Actually this will not match with the rest of my stuff, but the black case with orange led will just be too sexy.
  9. I would also echo the suggestion of just one input, a high quality volume control - altho I personally would prefer a deeper case rather than extra height! (30x30?) I'm keen too, but why wait for Christmas!
  10. Thanks guys. Powerglide, I had that exact thought and before I listed this I was considering - do I just put these into a box in the storage cage and maybe one day I'll have another room / space for them? But I think they're wasted hiding away and someone else should get the enjoyment! I moved to the ATC SCM19s for a bit of a change of scene. Amazing speakers. But as you say, much more than double what I paid for those B&Ws many years ago
  11. Item: B&W DM601 S2 bookshelf speakers Location: VIC, Melbourne Price: $350 Item Condition: Very good - audio flawless. Some slight markings on cabinets that are only noticeable super close up. Reason for selling: Upgraded Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: These were the heart of my "man-cave" system that I put together while I was a student. I've taken good care of them over the years. They still sound fantastic & I'm hoping they find a good home. No boxes available - so local pick up preferred. Pictures:
