  1. I thought when I joined in 2011 I left a message in here introducing myself. Not sure if I did and can't find it now, so here's a few words about me. Long time Meridian Audio enthusiast. End of Last year Meridian introduced their 271 which allows an external processor to be used in their closed system and now I've finally decided to embrace Dolby Atmos and in the process of introducing Triad Silvers for 7.x.6 surround, along with Meridian DSP5200s for L, C, R. I sold my Meridian G68 processor end of last year and considering picking up the new Denon AVR-8500H to run the system. I'm using a Screen Research 120" AT scope screen and JVC DLA X7900 4K projector with Oppo 4K Blu-ray. I love big movies, lots of action and fantasy. I prefer quality sound over loud and consider myself a partial audiophile/videophile, as much as you can when the majority of time I spend watching movies. I play Warframe on PS4 and also love listening to most types of music, but favour blues and jazz. Currently selling a rear pair of my Meridians to part fund the Denon and Triads. I have an advertissment on this forum, along with eBay. I live in Melbourne, Victoria and when I get the chance, love to travel and see the world. Any questions about the equipment I'm using or in general, feel free to drop me a message. Cheers Chris
  2. Item: 2 x Meridian DSP5200 digital floor standing speakers (black piano veneer finish) Location: Point Cook, Melbourne VIC 3030 Price: AUD $7850 obo for the pair. Original MSRP $18,000. Item Condition: Mint condition (no scratches, kept in enclosed room) Reason for selling: Change in direction for listening. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash and direct bank deposit Extra Info: Meridian Audio: https://www.meridian-audio.com/ Happy to demo if you’re in Melbourne, however, I sold my G68 prior to Christmas so if you want to audition with a Meridian processor you will need to BYO. Given the weight and size of these speakers I’d prefer local pick up - if you really want to ship interstate, we can discuss as long as you're willing to organise and pay freight, insurance, etc. Thanks for looking and please message me if you have any questions. 3. Hi Jason, the HD621 is yours. Thanks for the payment. I was out for the day and didn't see the messages until after mjon had contacted me. I've update the post above.
  4. I've been asked by a couple of people if I would be willing to split the system. Although I'd prefer to sell the system as one, yes I would be prepared to split. Sale price as follows: DSP5200 (pair) Speakerlink $11,000 $9,990 DSP5200 (pair) with BNC $10,000 $8,990 DSP5200 (LCR - 3) all vertical $15,000 $13,990 DSP5200 (all 5) 3 Speakerlink and 2 BNC connections $20,000 $18,990 SW5500 sub $2,000 $$1,500 G68 processor $1,500 SOLD HD621 HDMI Switch $1,000 SOLD MiddleAtlantic full size A/V rack $1,000 Everything, including the Middle Atlantic rack (excluding the G68 and HD621, as now sold) $22,000 $19,990 It would be easier for a local pickup, but I'm willing to send interstate or even OS, but will require the buyer to organise and is an additional cost to above. I've checked and I only have one original speaker box and the original sub box, so additional boxing would be required. Again, thanks for looking. Chris

My camera skills are left wanting and do not do justice to Meridian. The cinema is completely black, so either hard to see or camera flash. Serial numbers available on request. Pictures:
  10. 3 of the DSP5200's have Speakerlink and all DSP5200's have BNC connectors. All connect seamlessly to the G68 and will also connect to the new Meridian 271.
  11. Fair call. I wanted to get the post up. I've replaced all stock photos with originals. Thanks

  17. I would have thought hi-fi extends to home cinema and lens, as opposed to classifying it in the same section as Nikon batteries, Intel SSD and drones - both near the top in http://www.stereo.net.au/forums/forum/16-non-hi-fi/ This is a high-end anamorphic lens intended for scope screens in a cinema, not after thoughts lying around the house. Maybe the mods need to give a little more thought to how they lay out the forums. As for Cardiiiii and scumbag, thanks for the warm welcome.

  20. Hi all and thanks for the interest. Unfortunately or fortunately, I need to put this sale on hold for the moment. My wife has stepped in and laid claim to some of the equipment. Until I can sort this out I cannot go ahead with selling any of the equipment. My sincere apologies for the confusion. To those who have sent me a pvt message, again I apologise. I will send you a message now confirming the sale is on hold.

  22. This is a complete high end cinema ready for purchase. It has only been turned on a few times and everything is in excellent condition. As a result of a marriage ending, I'm forced to sell everything. I believe this is a very good opportunity for someone to pick up high end quality brands at a fraction of the as new price. I am located in Melbourne, Australia. Also, given the weight and lack of boxes for a lot of the gear, local pickup would be preferred. If you are able to supply a courier to box everything and you take responsibility, then we can work something out. This is an honest and serious sale. I'm parting with a dream cinema that was never realised, I just hope you have better luck with it. Not looking for offers, price is fair and firm. All equipment is black, with Meridian finished in Piano Black. 4 of the 5 DSP speakers are coaxial connection with 1 having the newer ethernet. Price as new in excess of $80,000. Priced for sale at $25,000 AUD. Meridian Audio: https://www.meridian-audio.com/en/ DSP5200 digital floor standing speakers in piano black finish. All five are vertical to be perfectly matched. http://hometheaterre...ve-loudspeaker/ SW5500 active subwoofer in piano black finish. http://www.excelia-h...w-1600-5500.pdf G68D processor in piano black finish with rack mount kit. https://www.meridian.../G68_ds_scr.pdf HD621 in black with rack mount kit. https://www.meridian...o-processor/16/ Screen Research: http://screenresearc...bsite/index.php 120" AT (Acoustically Transparent) 2:25.1 ClearPix 2 fine woven material. Used in high end cinemas around the world. ISCO: http://www.isk-optic...?id=home-cinema ISCOIIIL used in many professional cinemas and used as reference to measure all anamorphic lens against PS Audio: http://www.psaudio.com/ Director 4.7 with 14 sockets for line conditioning. Is multi voltage and capable of 220 and 110v. I use US leads into Australian equipment, including plasmas. Middle Atlantic: http://www.middleatlantic.com/ Rack is black and full height. Used mainly in high end audio installations. Can purchase a lot of faceplates made specifically to match audio gear. I'm really not keen on splitting the system. However, it has been suggested and I have split as following. Meridian (all to be sold as one set) - $20,000. ISCO IIIL anamorphic lens - $5000 Middle Atlantic Rack with multiple shelves - $1000 PS Audio Director 4.7 (14 sockets) - $750 Screen Research 120", AT, 2:25.1, ClearPix 2 - $3000 If you purchase everything, it is a savings of nearly $5000. As mentioned above, this is under one third the original purchase price. If you are considering purchasing an item let me know and I can take a photo with serial number where applicable. Thanks for looking. PS. I have also posted this on DTV Forum and AV Science.
