Currently Watching - popcorn anyone?
MKSOUND_HT replied to Jake's topic in Movies - Box Office, Blu-ray Releases etc.
Lets hope it was the best 1/3 of the film haha. Looking for a good film this weekend. Hoping for scifi. -
I must say Gllp was really great to deal with also. He was extremely considerate to send the SVS Subwoofer to Melbourne and even put a label on the parcel for me and had someone there during the day while the courier came. The item worked perfectly and its made a huge addition to my theater. For future buyers from GLLP you will not be dissapointed!!!! Very very recommended seller! Thanks

Your thread did inspire me indeed haha Just so happened to be the same day I saw your setup too. I can still hear your setup playing down in Melbourne lol

If you leave him a message I am sure he will get back to you. He is WELL worth the contact, my conversation with him yesterday confirmed that. He is confident and extremely kind. I would happily pay him money hehe Yeah I am still in contact with the seller at the moment to try and finalise some form of redress. Its a big enough issue that I am not very confident to undertake myself. I am lucky Dallas is guiding me so well.

I was inspired by my best mate to do it hahaha. I like Symmetry (well thats the excuse i'm using hahaha) Feel like redirecting one (or two) of them to Melbourne (for a few years)??? LOL Your going to have fun haha.

Hey all, On the Hunt for a SVS PB-2000 Subwoofer I'm sure this might take me a while to source out but i'm going to be adding another subwoofer at some stage to my theater. Don't mind waiting a bit if you will have one for sale in the next few months. Prefer pickup but can arrange a courier to come pick it up from you if you have the original boxes. As usual, thank you very much for your time

Stereo subs: Sealed or ported

Thats a big pity that the PB-2000 didn't come with the Piano Finish. The PB2000 seems like one of the most popular models for Home Theater due to its excellent bass response and value for money. -
Custom DIY cables and beautiful wall plates.

I must admit the most important thing is that you still like them hehe. Wifes/Fiancees can't always be kept happy, we can only try our best hahaha -
Congratulations. Best of luck with your new gear

Thanks very much for your recommendations. Was speaking with Dallas last night, it was very evident he is the best person for the job. The amp will only work once there is enough heat through the amp, the SL is still crackly till the head gets into it and the other channels don't work when the amp is cold. I need to increase the gain on the preamp quite a bit for the amp channel to switch on. Will be dropping the amp off in the next few days for a service Thanks

Your not wrong there haha. I really wanted to find a silver front faced RMB-1095 and found one. Just such a pity it ended up having these issues. I'm going to go over all my steps again tonight in hopes to find a "quick fix" that I may have over looked. Hoping its just the RCAs or a dry joint which should be easily rectified. The protection led indicators don't come on when the amp is running, so I suppose thats a good sign. I'm really curious if dodgy rcas can cause the volume to be low and crackly (or a dry joint) on that channel? I thought as long as its getting some contact with the connector it will produce the full sound. Much appreciated mate. Just replied to you then.

Today is one of those days that couldn't get worse So I thought i'd try turn some of my pain into laughter: I finally put up one of my frames on the wall in the theater. This picture actually visible on the right hand side wall: Well its the first time i've hung a big frame before.... Got an sms from my fiancee that she heard a bang in the Theater, when she went in she saw this on the wall below (seems I missed the stud even though I used a stud finder hahaha) Thought this picture by Get Smart was appropriate:

Hey all, I've unfortunately got a problem with a Rotel RMB1095 I've just received in the mail. I was hoping to find somewhere that would be willing to take a look at it for me to quote on the repairs required Issues: - Intermittently only outputs to one channel - Crackle occasionally (and low Volume) from SL Channel NOTES: - None of the Protection Lights highlight an issue as yet (except for the FL and SL ones which appear just for a split second as you switch the power amp off I'm stressing like crazy, was looking for one of these amps for 6 months+. Finally bought one on here and can't use it Thanks in advance,

The amp was posted out with Pack and Send very safely, i've never seen something so carefully packaged in my life haha (was on a mini pallet). The amp was tested in 2 channel prior to sending but i'm not sure about the other channels since. Hoping its an easy fix too, been wanting an RMB1095 for ages now Only just found this one recently so i'm hoping it all works out

Hey all, I picked up a Rotel RMB1095, my dream amplifier for sooo long haha. I just wanted to see if anyone could help diagnose 2 things. The first one is the FL and SL hand side Protection LEDs flash when I press the Power off button. The other Leds don't flash when I switch it off. Was just wondering if this was normal? The other thing was a crackling sound from the SL channel. I tried changing Interconnects and it still happens. I noticed the rca input on the amplifer had some corosion on the gold plating. I moved the rca cable a bit left and right and it seems like the crackle has now gone. I tried it again this morning, turned the amp on then preamp. I tried a test tone on each of the channels and the front RIGHT, Center, SL and SR is not coming out (this happened when I first turned on the amp but thought it was loose rcas). The FL and SL channels still flash when I turn the amplifier off. With the RCA cables disconnected I can hear a different amount of buzzing from the Power amp too, but thought this might be because there are no rca inputs. Was also wondering if anyone has experience on costs to get RCA input RCA joints resoldered (and if they could recommend anyone on here qualified to do the job) if it does end up being the issue? Thanks Adrian

Hey Mate, Thanks for the advice. I just picked it up off the forum so hoping I might not have to do any work to it. I tried it again this morning, turned the amp on then preamp.
