    New DAC recommendations

The klein DAC II is definitely on the radar, along with his dac preamp soon to be released (hopefully) Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. I got excited when I saw an update to this post, I thought the sale may have fallen through and I could jump in...... alas, not the case. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I actually have an audio gd nfb 3.1 that's my backup dac and I'm quite happy with it. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Yes, getting it fixed would be great. It's been at classaaudio for a couple of months, he's been trying to get info and parts but struggling on both accounts. If someone can recommend somewhere else in Melbourne that might have a better shot I am all ears. Cheers, Mark Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I was looking at benchmark DACs a while ago, they get awesome reviews. How would it compare to the deqx? Cheers, Mark Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    New DAC recommendations

Hey George, That is an interesting option, I'll look into it. I'm a little wary of Chinese suppliers since my lite dac died and there is no support for repairs. Cheers, Mark Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. Hi guys, Unfortunately my lite dac83 seems to be unrepairable (from what the store it's at at says anyway) so I'm looking for a suitable replacement. What would people recommend? I would like something of equivalent or better sq and volume control, around $2k. The system it's going on is a JLTI KT120 amp and kef reference 201/2 bookshelf speakers. I'm thinking maybe a secondhand DEQX but at this stage I don't have a sub, but might add one later. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mark Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. I did away with the official app as it became slow and unstable. I use squeezer and it's very stable Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    how to pair FOCAL 948?

I would have got the MF M6SI but it was outside of my price range, I got a good deal on the Exposure 3010, which is what I'm currently running. I don't use a CD player, I have a squeezebox running into a Lite DAC-83. I listen to everything......

    how to pair FOCAL 948?

Musical Fidelity and Focal are a well known combination. I run an exposure with my Focals and it does a pretty good job. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

The Magane rs is VERY stiff. I am glad you enjoyed the drive, I am very happy with mine. It's a shame about your back, you might find that most (if not all) hot hatches are un-livable. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

That is a good point, the bolsters on the seat are quite high. I've had a couple of people nearly fall over trying to get out, but I think that was more that it caught them by surprise. I reckon they sound great! Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

As far as the noise coming through the speakers, that's news to me. They run sort of an induction line to the fire wall which is possibly what your thinking about, I haven't heard of any way to disable this. It's not that loud though, especially for normal driving.
