  1. For those of you still looking for the last minute gift for the wife, here I am !!!
  2. Hi all, I have had a few queries from interstate but have decided that these will be to difficult to ship, I have adjust the add accordingly. Also, I have had a few questions about the age of these amps. I am the second owner of these and purchased through SNA. Below is a link to the original add, I hope this helps.
  3. "Too big" My arse lol, you can always put them sideways behind your speakers, you'd barely spot them. I agree, I had them sitting beside each speaker for a while using very short speaker cables made by Geoff at Aurealis Audio. I've wanted a pair of these since I first saw them, the only thing stopping me is the complete lack of money. Me too, I had my eye on these for a long time before the circumstances were right and I was able to get a set. Single ended, pure class A, 28 watt mono block, what's not to like! For anyone interested, I am happy to throw in the Aurealis speaker cables mentioned above. They are in custom white, (to keep the wife happy) and approx 70cm.
  4. I have owned the Time Machine, Tempest and Topaz at one stage or another. While I loved the 300B sound it lacked a little oomph at times. If you don't need the power of the Tempest my choice would always be the Topaz.
  5. Item: A pair of CONSONANCE CYBER 845 MONO BLOCKS Location: Ascot Vale, Victoria Price: Withdrawn Item Condition: Excellent - These amps have been lovingly cared for however there are a couple of dents/marks on the side edge as shown in the pictures. They look far worse in the pictures than in the flesh and must have happened during our recent move as I had not noticed them until I looked them over for this add. Reason for selling: Wife forced me to. - We have recently moved into a new house and while it is bigger than our old house I am told these are far too big to go in our lounge room. Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Over the years I cycled through a few amps, valve and solid state before finally settling on these. During this journey I found that I was very drawn to the Single ended valve sound, however, found their low power limiting. The Consonance 845's where the solution for me with class A, single ended, 28 watts. I currently have Shuguang 845B, National Electronics 5687 and Philips SQE88CC tubes fitted to the amp and will include the additional valves, shown in the pictures, in the sale. Due to the size & weight, (approx 30Kg each), a local pick-up preferred. Happy to answer any questions. Pictures:
  6. All sorted, thanks Class A Audio. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I am open to different styles / brands, however would prefer Skyland, Hifi Racks or Sound Anchor. If you have a set that your are not using please let me know. Thanks, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Item: Oppo PM-3 Planar Magnetic Headphones Location: Ascot Vale, Victoria Price: $350 Item Condition: 9/10 (Only because they are not brand new) Reason for selling: Not used and bought a new house Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I seem to have this affliction where I like to buy equipment that I rarely use. These headphones are a great example of this, I bought them about 12 - 18 months ago and since then have only used them for around 20 hours. As such they are in great condition and present like new. Everything shown in the pictures are included in the sale. If you are in the market for a set of these headphones, save yourself over $100 and buy these ones P.S. Apologies for the pictures being incorrectly rotated, I can't figure out how to change them. Pictures:
  9. I have no affiliation with Richard except that I was the buyer of the other 845 amps mentioned. I still have them and have no desire to see them go. Richard was a great guy and a pleasure to deal with so buy with confidence. I am just waiting to see what other goodies he lists.
  10. I love the fact that you were straight up and said "I am not happy with the sound", very honest. GLWTS Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  13. Interesting feedback, thanks. While I agree sometimes you can live with minor hiccups I can't at this stage.
  14. Hi Scumbag How did you find the setup and stability? I need something my wife can just turn on and use first time every time or I will never hear the end of it.
  15. I am more interested stability and firmware. I want something to replace my laptop, something that just works every time, no driver issues, no frustrating glitches, mysterious pauses etc. I will watch with interest........ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. I'm looking forward for reviews on the mini, thanks for posting. I have wanted to buy a streamer for a while but can't make up my mind.
  17. Thanks again for all the suggestions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I ended up getting a booking at Movida, thanks for the help.
  19. Thanks guys, some pretty good ideas. Matteos looks like it would have been perfect except being in North Fitzroy it's probably not as convenient for a couple of the people that need to travel a long way by train. I will definitely keep the other two on my short list. Christmas is approaching quickly and I am worried about availability so I would like to make the booking on Monday afternoon. I am happy to take anymore suggestions in the mean time Thanks agains everyone Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks I'll check it out, any other suggestions?
  21. Hi all, This year for Christmas my colleagues and I have decided to do something a little more civilised than normal and have dinner with a few drinks at a nice restaurant Melbourne. I am having trouble finding a restaurant as I don't eat in the City often and was hoping that someone would be able to recommend a venue? I am not looking at the top shelf restaurants but maybe something the next level down. It needs to be in the City so people can use public transport and not out of the way like Docklands incase we kick on. As for the type of food, the consensus is not Japanese or Chinese but something that offers a little variety to cater for all. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
