  1. Hi how far can the satellite stay away from the router wireless?
  2. Item: A pair of 300Bs Price Range: Cheap Item Condition: New or Used Extra Info: My pair of Sophia Electrics popped recently. I still have another pair of EHs but in case they fail I'd like a spare pair. I just want something cheap that works without having to worry about failures. Got any recommendations?
  3. I restored a pair of the original 3a once before. There's a step by step guide for this. I'm not handy at all but it wasn't all that hard. Worth the effort. Great speakers. If you want something truly different from the modern speakers definitely worth a try.
  4. Further Information: Redundant records for pick up. Free. Very heavy. See pics for dimension. Not sure what’s in it.
  5. The system on offer consists of the following: MiniDSP DDRC-22D digital EQ MiniDSP 4x10 HD digital crossover MSB MVC-1 volume control with a remote AH160 Azurahorns + Faital Pro HF108R drivers AH340 Azurahorns + JBL 2445J AH550 Azurahorns + JBL 2420 Peerless 850490 bass bins painted in white Timber horn stands professionally made by Creation Audio Sundry cabling Your digital source signal will have room acoustic treatment via the digital EQ. This then goes into the digital crossover. The 8 channel signals will then go through MVC volume control. If you like a turntable, I have a reliable Analog to Digital converter for you. No amplifier is supplied. I'd suggest 20-30wpc for the horns and about 100wpc for the bass bins. I used flea-watt valve amplification for the horns. Although there's a pair of bass bins, I'd recommend having a subwoofer for the full scale sound. I use a REL subwoofer. Having a digital EQ means the bass sound will remain flat if that's your thing. I've moving into a small place while the current place is being renovated. Audition may not be possible. In any event, the sound will be massively different when you run your own amplification and your own digital EQ curves, not to mention your own frequency distribution. If you've ever wanted a full-blown horn system that typically costs $20K+, now is your time.
  6. Further information: I commissioned Eric to make this amp (I have 3) for my active setup a few years ago. The pictures show some dust but they're dust. Other than reasonable wear & tear, very decent. Premium wiring, sockets etc (forgot what they're called) supplied to Eric to use. Stepped attenuator for volume control. The volume is currently bypassed, but can be restored upon request. Comes with premium timber sideburns in gloss finish, produced by Andrew of Creation Audio. Expensive stuff. These can be taken off if they're not your thing. This amp is for high sensitive speakers. Probably the cheapest entry into the world of flea-watt amps. Eric still lives in Burwood I think, and is happy to provide assistance last time I checked with him. Prefer local pick-up. No audition available. I have a couple more if you're also interested in some active setup project. Photos:
  7. There’s no new release on vinyl in my library….
  8. Yeah mate i might come around next time I live in Wahroonga now too
  9. You could have a pet frog there Sime - would look cool in those lamps
  10. If you feel your setup sounds too bright then that’s what it is... Change your speakers or maybe amps. Or get some room treatment.
  11. And I’m digging the noise of my car exhaust pipes over music lately...
  12. Music doesn't interest me like it used to anymore. At least for the time being that is. No big deal.
  13. Tannoy's a surprising pick though.....like them much?
