  1. Superb sounding speakers.. I owned a pair of these on their dedicated column stands for years and years and adored the sound, it was only my yearn for more bass in a bigger room that had me sell them on, and to be honest, I still regret the sale GLWTS, some one is going to be a happy audiophile
  2. OMG, more WAR Audio goodness.... These are the 'exact' speakers that I wouldn't let Pat play for me when I ever visited his place as they ruined me for weeks afterwards... I'd go back home and listen to my own system (which is pretty darn good) but which would then sound like FM radio for weeks after a session listening to these bad boys until my memory finally faded. These driven with Pat's Bakoon ensemble and his very own amazing front end source of SD Card player was the best I ever heard I can't believe that you're letting them go Adam to be honest.. You're crazy man! I'd kill for these... no seriously, just name your victim... 🤣
  3. Everything designed by Pat can easily fall into 'legendary' description I wish I had the money, I would love to try these with my Bakoon set-up which I also know is Pat's favourite brand of amplification and DAC... I reckon my Harbeths would be up for sale pretty quickly if I did. GLWTS!!
  4. Always been intrigued by these speakers, would love to hear a pair one day
  5. Hi Snoop Thanks for the input. Intend on installing Roon OS only, so is the bundle itself ok, just leave out the second stick of RAM? I'm a big fan of Teddy Pardo so am happy to pay an extra $100 but appreciate the link, Gieseler is/would be my second choice
  6. G'day resident experts I have decided to build a dedicated NUC for Roon, a 24/7 set and forget server that will just run in the background without further thought, i.e. shutdowns reboots daily as I'm currently having to do with windows desktop I am after setting up a headless unit plugged directly into the router in the study which will then feed my SoTM in the music room via ethernet. I'm thinking of this bundle but with an added stick of ram making it 16 gig. https://www.ple.com.au/Products/634230/Intel-i7-NUC-Bean-Canyon-Super-Enthusiast-Bundle Also to power it I want to use this.. https://www.teddypardo.com/powersupplies/otherpowersupplies/teddynuc.html I intend to install my 2Tb SSD drive with my music library directly into the unit so the M.2 will be for the Roon Rock OS only Can anyone who knows anything about setting up a dedicated server (I'm clueless in some respects) see anything wrong with this order? I ask as I think all should be ok but I read somewhere (can't find it again) that not all NUC's are supported. Thanks in advance for any helps Cheers Dave
  7. I'm a massive fan of W.A.R. Audio speakers, I am yet to listen to and not be supremely impressed by anything that Pat Obrien builds.
  8. Item: Oyaide Black Mamba Power Lead (1.8m with US Plug) Location: Perth Price: $195 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: No longer required Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I have finally replaced all of my power leads with short 1.0m versions which has made my wiring so much cleaner.. The only reason that this has come up for sale is the same reason that I sold my Tunami GPX's recently.. just far too long for my purpose as outlets and components are so close. Thanks for looking Dave Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  9. Guy's, just posting to give a heads up on the price drop for the above add As much as it guts me I need to pay a debt and therefore am willing to take less for my beloved Lampi Cheers Dave
  10. Do you mean to add a new post in the classifieds or another section? Thanks for the input fella's Cheers Dave
  11. Hi rantan That's exactly what I thought I had to do and did so, but no change I'm afraid
  12. G'day fella's I often see adds that are on the front page of the classifieds with a PRICE DROP in their title, so these adds appear to have been running for a while and the seller is now dropping the price and alerting potential buyers of the change. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this please? I've edited my add to reduce asking price but it is still about 10 pages deep so no one will know that I've done so. Thanks in advance Dave
  13. Great cables, these were my main cables for over 4 to 5 years, only replaced when I had an opportunity to grab a pair of Stealth MLTs
  14. Item: Lampizator Gen 5, Level 4 DAC with volume control & remote (Fundamentally making it a pre-amp) Duelund Capacitors and i2s input Location: Perth Price: $3950 $3,500 Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Upgrading Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This unit was purchased new by myself dealing directly with Lukasz Fikus whereupon we discussed options and upgrades and he even let me send him my SD Card player with it's i2s interface so that he could install and test a never before fitted on a Lampizator i2s input which has been a glorious combination. Other inputs are a true 75ohm SPDIF & and 24bit 384khz USB input which I have 'just' recently found sounded as good as the i2s which shocked me no end... We also discussed the fact that I didn't use a pre-amp at the time (I was using the volume controls on my Bakoon mono's) and was informed that by adding a volume control that it would give me pre-amp like control, input switching and volume via remote which has been very cool indeed and saved me from the next purchase which would indeed of been a pre-amp as I was over controlling 2 separate volumes. Please read information on their volume control interface (which I might add was a bloody expensive addition but worth it, especially as it saved the cost of a pre-amp) http://www.lampizator.eu/Fikus/VOLUME_CONTROL.html We also discussed at the time capacitors and I upgraded to Duelunds which I have to say have been stunning, are they better than what would have been supplied standard? I have no idea, but based on everything one can read about them, I'm sure that the cost was worth it. This unit, as can be seen in the photo's attached is in pristine condition, as is all documentation and packaging (double boxing etc) so this unit will arrive to you as if it had been shipped directly from Lampizator in Poland, which brings me to an amazing aspect of the Lampizator product line and their level of confidence in their own products and that is their Second Hand Service Program quoted below directly from their site If the Lampizator product is being sold on the second hand market, Lampizator offers Worldwide Unique Second Hand Service Program. That means, that during the transaction between buyer and seller, the product can go for FREE to the Lampizator address first, where it will be checked, tested, calibrated, fixed if necessary and resent to the new owner with a certificate. New packing will be added if necessary. The seller and the buyer can sleep well and not worry about the transaction being satisfactory for both parties. We don’t charge anything for this service except the shipping charges. We just want the old product to be up to snuff and always satisfying like as if they were new. I would be very happy to ship directly to Poland if the buyer were so inclined (Why wouldn't you be?) but the buyer would then be responsible for shipping back to Australia which at a rough guess would probably be in the region of 50 Euros, based on other products I've had shipped from Europe but the buyer would need to investigate that cost first. However the end result would be something akin to brand new based on Lampizator's Service Program. However, also happy to ship directly to buyer. I think that's it, thanks for looking Regards Dave Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
