  1. Hey, I never said these aren’t cool. Any KISS dolls rule in my book.
  2. What I’d pay for the first edition KISS dolls?!
  3. Hi everyone. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a TV installer on the Central Coast please? Looking for anyone who has had a good experience and is happy with their install.
  4. May I ask @TP1 what kind of room is it in? My living room is not bright, but it’s not pitch black either. I usually have some biased lighting on. How is it with handling regular free to air content? How far away are you sitting? Cheers!
  5. I hear what you’re saying, but Panasonic has sold out everywhere, but I’ve managed to find a new GZ2000 on close out with full warranty. Again, my main concern with that is sitting distance. If I was closer the Panasonic would be a no brainer over a Sony, but Panasonic don’t do a 77”. Unfortunately I’m not a big fan of Samsung screens. I find them over saturated and the lack of Dolby vision is a concern for me. So, it looks like the A9G 77” will be the go.
  6. Hello, Will this unit do Roon? cheers, Glen
  7. My thoughts have slightly altered. I can now score a 77” Sony A9g for $5999. A $2k step up from my budget, but I’m thinking it might be the go with Interest for 48months free financing and a 3 yr warranty from Sony. The Panasonic still seems like the bargain, and I just wish my 4m distance would do it justice, cause I would step all over that deal. I’ve checked, they’re all brand new, not seconds, refurbished or b stock. The Sony, is from Sony and the Panasonic is from Harvey Norman (who I theoretically despise), and comes with a 12 month warranty.
  8. Is there anyone out there with a 65” who sits a similar distance to me? Wondering how you feel?
  9. Whoops..........meant Pioneer. Pardon my blasphemy! now edited.
  10. Just called around NSW.......nothing in stock
  11. Ok, so my budget is $4k and I’ve narrowed my choices to 2 TVs that fit inside that budget. I sit 4m from the TV, but can move closer if I want to indulge alone in a 4K flick with the help of a side chair. It will be used in a living room that’s never overly bright - no direct sun. During the evenings I usually have a floor lamp on, so a touch of bias lighting, after all it’s a living room, so I don’t sit in the dark. I watch mostly SD free to air ABC News, Food Network, ALL streaming platforms which I will upgrade to 4K versions, and Optus sport. I’ll be moving on from a 50” Pioneer Kuro.
  12. Ok, so if I decided on one of the ‘Master’ series, do I go 77” A9G or 85” Z9G considering they’re both great prices for what they are at the moment. Or, is the X9500H hitting the sweet spot on all fronts?
  13. Yes, it seems those are my strongest 2 picks as well. The Panasoniconic seems like the best performer but the size is what's making me second guess. The A9G will most likely be the best choice, but I'm wondering if for that money I should try and swing the Z9G for sheer size and crazy build quality. I've been to the sony store and all 3 Sony's impress, but only saw demo footage so hard to tell how the look in real world. Z9g was stunning in 8k glory, i understand it upscales 4k very well but what about regular old free to air. Will it be watchable? I'm not expecting upsca
  14. Hello everyone, I’m looking around at TV’s and have narrowed down my selection, although it is a very mixed bag of selections. However these TVs are all great with the usual pros and cons. They are all at a great price right now, which is making it more difficult. I’ll be using the tv for a combo of free to air, 4K streaming and regular streaming of movies and shows and Optus Sport for the premier league. It will be wall mounted in my living room which does not get any direct sun, but obviously gets some light during the day, not a tonne, but it’s not completely dark, and no win
  15. Hi, I’ve sent you a pm a few hours ago with interest to buy and pick up. Cheers, Glen
  16. I use an Audio Note Dac and only run tidal And Roon. I used to use my Oppo 203 as an endpoint, now I use a DCS Network Bridge. All you need is a Roon endpoint with a spdif out like the DCS, Lumin U1, or Bricasti M5 just to name a few. That AN Dac in the classifieds looks tasty.
