  1. Nice write up ... they don't make them like this any more 10/10
  2. Great service and fast delivery as usual. Thanks Keith
  3. Another amazing speaker Andrew. These received great reviews when released, how did these stack up compared to the Harbeth 30.1?
  4. Tidal on Oppo can is controlled through the Oppo Media Control app v4. Its all pretty intuitive. It's pretty easy to find titles and artists by searching although I find the playlists feature somewhat impenetrable. I'm not sold on Oppo's implementation of the Play Queue. If you Queue up an album it appears as individual tracks. If you stop play mid album and then play another album it inserts the new album into the middle of the first albums queue. Queue by album would better suit my listening habits methinks. Here are some screen shots - for the curious.
  5. Looks like the Tidal Beta Firmware for Oppo is now available for AU machines. Downloaded and installed on my 105 this evening. App on my iPhone had automatically updated making this an easy upgrade. Seems to work as advertised, but have experienced some drop outs - probably due to my crappy wifi connection.
  6. I'lll chip in free delivery for huxmut's donator. Toppy plus hard drive to your door for a donation to SNA ... a pretty good deal I reckon ^_^
  7. Item: Topfield TF5000PVRt Masterpiece PVR Location: Melbourne - Outer East Price: Free to any SNA'r able to pick up Item Condition: Working but needs new Hard Drive Reason for Selling: Decluttering Payment Method: It's Free! Extra Info: If anybody out there would like this Topfield PVR it's yours! It was in daily use until a few months ago when the record function started to malfunction - in all likelihood the Hard Drive has started to fail If memory serves me well it uses an IDE drive. It's probably not worth buying a new hard drive for the unit but if you have a spare IDE drive laying around you should be able to easily return this unit to full working condition. The TF5000PVRt Masterpiece was Topfield's top of the range SD PVR. It has two tuners and an 80GB hard drive with program guide, time shift support etc. There is no HDMI on this baby so you will need a TV with Component video or SCART inputs. It comes with Remote and Manual plus SCART/SCART and SCART to RCA cables.

  11. HI Doug, This unit retails new for around $400 and would out perform the phono inputs on most integrated amps. I expect it would provide a small but noticeable lift in sound quality with your current amp. however, the main advantage is that it would provide you with more options for future upgrades - a good option if you were planning to upgrade your cartridge or amp in the future. Regards, Steve --
