  1. Good effort mate......I would like to hear them when finished. I have yet to hear another Westie, factory built or other. cheers Dave
  2. Gday Mate just read your comments re HPDs. And was most interested in your comment “from plans posted on the web”. Was this from DIY page in Croatia or or such, or did you find on “ The Art of Sound” forum UK. cheers Dave
  3. Oh yes beautiful and bold. Put them in Westminster Cabinets......I did!
  4. Hi to all. There has been quite a lot of interest in the AR CD2, to say the least. Yes it probably is cheap for such an iconic product. It doesn't have the original remote however. Someone is close to purchasing. But not sold yet. I have an Oppo 105D and a Yamaha 2700 also listed. Go take a look. Cheers Dave

  9. Hey Thommo did you build these, finally. Only just discovered this link. Built mine back in 2010 from the Serb/Croation Plans. Plans that needed some changes. But I think I have pretty close to the original. Put my progress up on the Art of Sound Forum. Dave
  10. I will try and get some of the photos up.
  11. Nice work mate. I have modified mine at the rear of the driver. There are a few panels missing on the original Yugoslav plans. Essentially the start of the folded horn. Wow did that make them sit up and sing.
  12. Toby Yeah I messaged back. On reflection not a lot has changed in the physical appearance or build as such in the Royals. That is from the old and the newer models. It seems there have been some subtle changes to Xovers and the drivers. But I recall the photo I took back in 2010(the owner of the Second Hand Hi Fi Store, claimed the said Westminster Royal speakers to have been from the sixties or seventies)and the cabinet was constructed, of what can be described as, of only fairly poor chipboard. Of course all this is guess work. I have yet to hear a real Westminster from the factory. Dave
  13. Hey Toby Great work! Did you get the plans from Serbia Baby DIY I think. Pity I didn't come across your posts earlier. I have dealt with some of the same issues re panels and curves back a couple of years ago. The reason for uploading the two photos. The first with the rear panel removed is an old original Westminster Royal. You will see by looking closer, a panel covering the driver. The second photo is my construction of the Serbian design at about the quarter build stage. Anyway back to the first photo. I have recently discovered that this same panel is part of the SE and the HE models I think. In other words we need to, or at least I need to attach said panel. That is when I work out more detail of its dimension. At this point if you are interested get back to me. Dave
