  1. I've been put in touch with someone reputable, thank you!
  2. https://sparedparts.com/products/151852751?_pos=1&_sid=8bb6ebc28&_ss=r I've managed to get hold of a nice Sony amp, but the 6 lamps that illuminate the VU meters have blown. I've got hold or replacements (LED), but need to find someone who can desolder the old bulbs and solder in the new ones. Any suggestions for a Brisbane techie? Thanks

  7. Thanks for all that information - I'll see what's available and maybe post a WTB. Greatly appreciated.
  8. I've never paid much attention to home cinema before, but I've noticed that you can pick up second-hand Blu-Ray discs very cheaply. This has got me thinking about buying a 1080 projector. Is it possible to buy a good used projector for around $500? I could pay a little more, but I don't watch many films these days so I don't want to overspend. Any recommendations? I'm thinking about using a screen that rises up (this way I can hide it behind my hifi stand). Thanks.

  10. If anyone in Brisbane needs to borrow it they are more than welcome.
  11. Sorted! Managed to find a tape eraser on eBay.au and bought a step down transformer. Cost around $100 all together.
  12. Totally agree with you on this - I used to thing it was overpriced rubbish.
  13. Just heard from the seller that it is an Australian plug......
  14. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OYAIDE-1M-AUDIOPHILE-240V-POWER-CABLE/143408178344?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Looks like an Australian plug, but didn't think that Oyaide made a local plug? Also, no insulation for the prescribed length of the pins.
  15. Very true. Plus I'd need to buy a step down converter.
  16. Good idea - I had forgotten that was the name in the UK.
  17. Does anyone know if these were ever sold in Australia / Europe? Impossible to find. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Realistic-High-Power-Bulk-Tape-Eraser-44-233A-Video-Audio-Clean-Working-Used-USA/274054682937?hash=item3fceee9939:g:VkMAAOSw-mVdpx~m
