  3. Item: 1 Pair Great Plains Audio 414-16B Drivers Location: Hurstbridge VIC Price: $750 plus shipping Item Condition: Excellent condition. Some marks around screw holes. Reason for selling: No space Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, EFT Extra Info: These are essentially Altec Lansing 414-16B drivers. Same design. Same tooling. The name Altec Lansing was sold to a purveyor of plastic back in the 1980s or 90s. No plastic here, except maybe the coloured inserts on the binding posts. Cast baskets. Alnico magnets. Paper cones. http://www.greatplai... Spec Sheet.pdf It is unclear if these are still made. The only reference I find on the GPA web site is the above spec sheet. Purchased here on SNA. I haven't used them other than to make sure everything was OK when purchased. They were well looked after by original owner. See the original listing: http://www.stereo.ne...akers-12-alnico I've got the original shipping cartons, but they are heavy and would cost a fair amount to ship. I hate to part with these, but I need to simplify and free up some space! I might consider a trade for a 300B SET amp of similar value. Pictures:

They would cost much more to import now due to the diving AUD. 6. Item: 1 Pair Yamaha JA6681B Compression Drivers Location: Hurstbridge VIC Price: $400 + shipping Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Not using Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Direct Deposit Hard to find. Sound very good on large horns. I think they are better than Altec 288's. See plot with large Azurahorn: http://www.azurahorn...maha_on_204.pdf 1.4'" throat - Altec bolt pattern. This type of driver was used by Meyersound. It has a very unusual diaphragm suspension. You can see the detail in the photos below. I have a few papers I can provide giving more information, but there isn't a lot out there. The drivers' paint is chipped, but the diaphragms are in good shape. The bug-screens have been removed - otherwise they are original.
  7. Item: 1 Pair Electrovoice HR9040 Horns Location: Hurstbridge VIC Price: $250 Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Not using, too big Payment Method: Pickup - Cash Extra Info: Pick up only 1 pr EV HR9040 Constant Directivity Horns Big horns! 8. md5deep and companion tool hashdeep look useful if you are not afraid of the command line.
  9. Check into MD5sum or MD5sums utilities. Flac itself has the ability to create a fingerprint file from the audio data. It doesn't fingerprint the metadata (tags), so it may not be ideal for checking file integrity.
  10. If you're going to push I2S long distance, a few implementations use LVDS. I haven't used this, but TPA sell or used to sell the Teleporter PCB for this purpose. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/twisted-pear/201106-introducing-bit-teleporter.html My SDCard player and DAC use LVDS to send I2S both PCM and DSD over an HDMI cable. I have no complaints.
  11. Has anyone tried PC Engines new APU? http://www.pcengines.ch/apu.htm I'm still using the old Alix 2 as my music server.
  12. Item: Celestion DL4 Location: Melbourne (Hurstbridge) Price: $100 - Pick up only Item Condition: Used condition, but work well. Marks on finish. Grilles torn around the edges in places. One woofer cone has a small crease or tear that's been repaired by a previous owner. See photos. Reason for selling: Not using, clearing space. Payment Method: EFT, Pickup - Cash Extra Info: These are nice sounding small speakers.
  13. batchenc can do what you want once set up. I couldn't get the output path setting to work with sacdextract, but its easy enough to copy the files after.
