If anyone's considering this, I can vouch for Rick's workmanship. He's a true craftsman.
-
I'll make contact with him directly. He says he offers shipping. Appreciate the heads up.

Jason.- 1

So this is a business? Can you point me to any info on what else he has?
-
For that sort of money I could probably settle. Does he have more than one for sale?

MUTEC MC-1.2 USB audio interface
The MUTEC MC-1.2 is a high-performance USB audio interface which converts audio signals from USB to AES3, AES3id and S/P-DIF signals, and vice versa.
This device made an audible difference to the sound of my system when with a Mac Mini music server. Subsequently, I've now upgraded to the latest version of this unit.
All the specs and technical info you need can be found on the Mutec website:
https://www.mutec-net.com/legacy_product_mc-12.phpThis device is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. I have the packaging from my new device so I'm happy to post this one anywhere in Australia.

I know, I know, these are NOT what you were looking to listen to. But I have a pair of JBL 4412A you can listen to in Adelaide if you're desperate to hear that vintage JBL monitor sound.

You can purchase all the individual pieces to build your own rack from many of the vendors via AlieXpress. For example:

You don't want to know how much of that stuff I've thrown in the bin.. LOL
That’s likely where my guy got it from. The dumpster!- 1

Nothing inappropriate about the size of those babies.

I make my own cables using materials I get from a guy in the States (he sells on eBay under the name 'navships') that has access to a lot of mil spec and surplus military cabling. He gives plenty of information on the cable material and construction and his prices are good given the high quality. I prefer silver plated copper cable with PTFE dielectric.

Is this some kind of silent auction or something?

I personally think you're mad. If it were me I would most definitely stick with those big ole Lamms!
(And I am no stranger to 'valvey issues'. I believe there around 43 valves in my current setup.)- 1

As well as Wagner and The Loudspeaker Kit, you may also like to have a look at Soundlabs.
As The Rock Puppy says, the Soundlabs Group is definitely worth checking out. They have kits in a wide price range:

so l can partially fund my next Sansui purchase.
Bruce, which Sansui component you are saving for?

I use Interparcel. You just punch in the dimensions, weight, to and from postcodes and you can see costs from many carriers. You just pay upfront online and take advantage of the rates they get from all the carriers due to the volume of transactions they make.

Further information:
This is a 24 bit / 192kHz tube DAC built from a kit based on an article you can read on Lukasz Fikus’ Lampizator website here:
Link to Lampizator
So this is theoretically a ‘Lampized Lampucera’ DAC.The list of features and specs is based on the current version of the kit. I purchased mine a few years ago so I’m assuming it’s remained unchanged, but please use my photographs for reference. Hopefully they’re clear enough for you to see what’s going on.
Features
4 separated individual precision voltage regulator.
High precision 1% metal film SMD resistors and metal capactors
High grade op-amp AD827 x 3pcs for the output stage.
A pair high quality RCA sockets for analog output.
On board jumper to select the digital input ( coaxial or optical ).
Input: Dual 15V AC (AC 15V,0,15V)Specifications
Digital / Analog converters: PCM1798 (24bit 192khz DAC)
Digital receiver : Crystal CS4397
Master clock jitter: below measurable levels
Digital input: Coaxial and Optical
Analog output: RCA 2V rms. @75 ohms
As you can see this is a good looking unit, properly housed in an aesthetically pleasing enclosure with high WAF.
You have the option of bypassing the tube stage and using the opamp version if you like.
Includes SPDIF and Toslink inputs. This DAC is a great sounding component. It does what it’s meant to cleanly and without fuss. There is no hiss or hum or any unpleasantness when in use. Lukasz rates this design very highly.
Power switch is on rear of enclosure with red power light visible through small hole on front face. Measures 210mm wide x 310mm deep x 110mm high.
Happy to properly package and post to anywhere in Australia.

Fantastic work @Powerglide. I know how good they likely sound. (I have a big four way horn setup using 288s.)
