  1. I'm surprised nobody has snapped these up. I have a pair and they are pretty impressive for the price!
  2. Item: MiniDSP 10x10HD Location: Adelaide Price: $600 (plus postage) Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: Have purchased another DSP Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: I've been extremely happy with this unit. I read some comments about the noise floor on some MiniDSP boards but have to say this was near silent on my four way horn system. As long you have your gain structure set up correctly it's a non-issue. I'm really only selling because I've purchased the new DAC8 DSP from Okto Research to experiment with FIR filtering. This item is in excellent condition both aesthetically and functionally. $600 price on miniDSP 10x10HD unit only. Will require 12v power source. I have a good quality DB25 to 6 x RCA cable (see pics) I can also include for an additional $50. My Okto DSP came in a very well constructed padded carton (see pics) that I can repurpose for this item should an interstate buyer be interested. NOTE: This is still a current product so all the specs can be found on the miniDSP website. Photos: Advertisements without photos of the actual item will not be approved.
  3. I have a Mutec MC1.2 USB to SPDIF bridge in my system and it made a noticeable improvement to my digital front end. They make quality components.
  4. Come on people! It's sad there's no love on this forum for legendary vintage items like these.
  5. As you can probably tell this is a custom built four way system. Ultra high, high and midbass drivers are horn loaded. Bass reflex subs (play in stereo). From top: Vintage Altec 288-8K compression drivers on Yuchi 290A wood horns. Stage Accompany SA 8535 ribbons on H8535/70 horns. Vintage EV15L bass drivers on 77Hz conical wood horns. Commercial JBL 18” cinema subs. UHF driven by vintage VTL Deluxe 140 monoblocks. HF driven by vintage Quad II monoblocks. Midbass driven by vintage Audio Research D-115. Subs driven by Australian Monitor 1K2. Four way active controlled by DSP/preamp/crossover. Custom made power and signal cables. Custom made horn stands. Multiple digital and analogue sources.
  6. That's precisely what I mean.
  7. davewantsmoore speaks the truth. I can't see that the brand of sub makes much difference to 'integration'. I'd say whether you have the capacity for some adjustment in phase (0 or 180 just isn't going to be enough), high pass crossover point, crossover slope and of course gain. Only then will you be able to successfully dial your sub in. Something like this is what you need at a bare minimum:
  8. Don't stop at your speaker cabinets ... I use mass damping on the enclosures of my electronic components as well.
  9. Now sold pending payment. Thanks for your interest guys. 👍
  10. I'm a little late to the party on this one, but if you're interested I can put you in touch with a local craftsman who has just made some clouds and diffusers for a local sound engineer's home studio. Here's a pic. Clouds can be seen above the diffuser. Snd me a PM if you want his contact info.
  11. Thanks to buzzman for identifying it as being made by TS Audio. A little additional Googling also turned up the fact that it is based on the Marantz 7 circuit.
  12. There you go! Thank you for that info buzzman!
  13. No, not really. It's likely a clone of a well known and well regarded circuit, but I can't offer much more than that, sorry. MM only.
  14. This is a commercial product, not DIY. But the company has long since vanished from the market. I believe it originally came from Hong Kong.
  15.
