  1. I spun this LP just last week. It is very good indeed 👍
  2. Hey Mick, let me know if you have any Michael Hedges or Robbie Basho in that lot and I'll grab them 👍
  3. The CU Quartet has recently released a new album, which is very good. I've been meaning to buy the vinyl but current exchange rate makes it hard to justify http://astralcuq.bandcamp.com/album/good-days
  4. Amen to that brother. It's all good Not posting much these days, but still listening to lots, which is what really counts. I like to keep up with this thread though, always some thing new/old and interesting cropping up in peoples posts. I can't get Tony Allen out of my head or off the turntable for the past week. I have quite a few of his (and Fela's) records but there is still much to explore. Vale Tony, we will miss you. I sense the power of your humble influence on music will continue to grow and flourish. There is no end
  5. Tony Allen, I can't believe the news today, so I'm playing your music because it makes me feel happy.
  6. Folding the washing while listening to Terry and Gyan Riley, Way Out Yonder. A collection of live duo improvisations, guitar, piano and a bit of melodica. It's impossible to resist being taken on a journey by this beautiful music.
  7. No worries Marc, t's all good. Totally understandable. We are all living in unprecedented times and I certainly hope that everyone is as well as they can be under the circumstances. I am delighted to see the the funds are being directed to where the money will be of the greatest benefit. Don't forget to let us all know when it has all been finalised 🙏
  8. Hi @Marc Did you end up making all of the agreed disbursements?
  9. Are you talking about isolation or damping? The isoacoustics products are designed for isolation, which is a very different kettle of fish to damping.
  10. How cool is this? A kickstarter campaign to create a new portable cassette player/recorder with switchable Bluetooth functionality. Long live analog!
  11. Such an under rated solo artist. This album is fantastic, and dirt cheap in the US. Progressive acoustic jazz without all the frippery and nonsense of fusion. Sama Layuca by McCoy Tyner. So glad McCoy stuck to his vision. There was nothing and no one else like him.
  12. I would love to hear these, but out of my league presently. @t_mike 😎
  13. Thanks. Not sure it will fit but I'll check when I get home on Friday. Either way I'm sure this will go to a good home
  14. Cool unit. Have the surfaces been sealed? And what are the dimensions please?
  15. A great song, rendered sublime by Billy Strange's brilliant arrangement.
  16. No response yet but I haven't had time to chase it up. Sending out emails today to brigades and will follow up with phone calls this evening. @Marc what email can I use to cc you in? PM me if you prefer
  17. I have put some feelers out via FB messenger to the RFS brigade in Cobargo, and the CFA brigade in Mallacoota. Hopefully will hear back from both of them soon. I tried calling the CFA brigade at Parndana KI and will keep trying. A direct deposit can be made to CFA Vic where it is possible to specify the receiving brigade in the reference field.
