  1. just wandering the shops today i found a pana 500a at at great price. no visible marks or anything like that. just wondering what people think of buying floor stock. i know its not ideal but its the last one in my area. do you think i could have any problems in the future in the way of the panel not being run in properly (or others problems).

    any opinions would be appreciated

    thnaks

  2. hi, fairly new to this forum and new to the whole digital age. i'm in the market for a 42inch plasma (was leaning towards the pana pv60a due to the great reviews on this site) and was just wondering why there are no sets with built in tuners. surely this would be better visually and also reduce the number of cables and remotes in people houses.

are there any sets (HD) that have built in HD tuners? i have searched and could only find a philips model? does the picture somehow loose quality when the tuners are inbuilt?

    any thoughts would be appreciated

    cheers

  3. just wondering what peoples opinions are. im fortunate to have both these models available (haven't seen the 60a in action yet) at approx the same price. is it true that the 60a is slightly inferior to the 500a? im no good with all those tech specs so i was wondering what you would prefer.

    thanks

.........should i wait to see if they will release a 600a??

  4. I'd be interested to know; the unit my family has most definitely states on the back that it's assembled in Australia though. I'd presumed it was just a case of shipping in all the parts and simply putting them togather locally to save on shipping costs.

Either way, the thing is miles better built than NEC's 32" LCD offering

    anyway......back on topic.............

does anyone know anything about these new models. ie. when they will be released, pricing etc.

cant seem to find anything on the aussie websites

  5. just dropped into Myers to check out the Pana500A as there was a 10% plasma discount on. they had sold out an when i asked if they were getting more in i was told panasonic no longer make that model and a new model was being released in May. Can anybody confirm this? I was all set to buy one but will be tempted to wait to see what the new model can offer if this is true.

  6. No more like this

    Or especially this

There is heaps of choice in the USA, bugger all here. These items are heavy shipping would be expensive if they shipped here at all, most don't

surely shops like ikea or freedom or those other big furniture store chains stock stuff like this. im pretty sure ive seen similiar there.

  7. hi all. ive posted a similar question in the standard def section but i thought i would try here as well...

i have decided to upgrade to a plasma tv. the only things i know is that i would like 42inch and my budget would top out around $3500 (at the max - pref a bit less). please anyone out there give me their opinions and preferences. i have had a look around in the shops but the range stocked where i am is not flash. currently all reccommendations say get panasonic. are there any other as good options? what are some cheaper (but still good) alternatives?

    cheers

  8. hi all. this is my first post so be nice.....

i have decided to upgrade to a plasma tv. the only things i know is that i would like 42inch and my budget would top out around $3500. i might be able to stretch it if there is a 10 times better model for an extra few bucks. please anyone out there give me their opinions and preferences. i have had a look around in the shops but the range stocked where i am is not flash.

    cheers
