  1. They are rated to take up to 5kg and the speakers are less than that. At present they are staying put. They are 2 seperate locking bolts on each axis that you tighten with an allan key
  2. treblid : I don't have the camera I took the pics with with any longer. The back of the speaker can be seen here: http://tinyurl.com/28po6vb obee : I think I would get a projector and screen prior to gettting the power amp. All three sound good though ;-)
  3. Thanks. Yep ceiling mounted with these : http://tinyurl.com/22r2heb Easier to mount them that way so the beams above the gyprock can hold the 5kg weight of them easily.
  4. I've replaced my much loved 3 year old Kef 3005 speaker system with the B&W 685 Theatre package (keeping the Kef sub for now). My kit : Pioneer Kuro 50" Foxtel (sends to bedroom) Foxtel HD PS3 Toshiba HD DVD Player Panasonic DVR Onkyo TX-SR805 Fronts : B&W 685 Centre : B&W HTM62 Rears : B&W 686 Sub : Kef HTB2SE Not the best pics ever : I loved the Kef's for what they were but these are just another level entirely. Such a full sound and makes old songs I haven't heard for a while (in stereo mode) seem new again. Just listened to the 5.1 DTS 96/24 version of Bohemian Rhapsody and it was immense
  5. Yes it does use Audyssey. I'll give it another go in that case Cheers
  6. Hi, Just upgraded from my Kef 3005's to B&W 685 Theatre package. The speakers are all in the same place and the same cables have been used. Do I need to re-run the auto speaker calibration with my Onkyo TX-SR805 ? Or does the calibration just work out speaker distances, and as the speakers are all in the same place, its unnecessary ? Cheers
  7. Peter Harvey reading the news on Ch 9 looks wrong..... plus he's sitting there with his arm sticking out at a weird angle......
  8. What is a "multi-track computer burner" ?
  9. Wow, I guess I should toss out my multichannel SACD's, DTS CD's and DVD-A's
  10. Can't wait for the Big Four ! Hopefully the Megadeth sound will be better than the Rust in Peace Live BluRay
  11. I was thinking the same thing about the sub. The room it will be in is 6m x 5m so do you think the 8 inch is enough ?
  12. According to the site : Region: Region 1 (U.S. and Canada only. How will you play it ?
  13. Hi, Anyone know where I can get some ceiling mounting brackets for some B&W 686 speakers ? Thanks
  14. Hi, Any suggestions where I can get this BluRay : The Band : The Last Waltz Only place I can find it is the HMV UK site. Cheers
