  1. Hi Tony, How much is a calibration for an Epson 9400. I am based in Sydney. Thanks
  2. Hi @oztheatre ...yes the slide is motorised.... HI @bjc .. do you have a photo of your set up ? I would like to see the bunning sled you are mentioning. The main reason why I want to add this is to be able to watch 16:9 on a 2:35 screen.. (not i deal because they are stretched but it gives me that wide screen effect... This how it has been attached on the ceiling. so I cant mount it on table... thanks again..
  3. Hello @oztheatre haha! Yeah, that is totally true. I might ask a few more people .... any installer here in Sydney ? Is there a special plate required that links the PROJECTOR EPSON 9400 and the Panamorph ? I do just need to "hang it up" securely and perhaps an adjustment that moves it back and forth... It is basically a motorised slide with a UH480 panamorph lens... Hope I get someone here at the forum...to help me a bit...
  4. Thanks @betty boop ! I might ask our dear @Len Wallis Audio to assists with this.. So far I am really happy with the Epson 9400.... just amazing!!
  5. Hello Guys, Hope all is well. The set up on my home projector has been really good. Thanks to @betty boop advise its all happy running. The next stage is I want to add a panamorph UH480 on to my Epson 9400. Do you know anyone in Sydney who can help install it for me ? Please advice... Thanks
  6. the legend everybody talked about when I was young...and still people are awed by this masterpiece! Indeed, a musuem masterpiece..
  7. from one extreme to another... . I also own a supratek Chardonnay though...and loved it...
  8. OHH WOW!! My favourite speaker brand... Believe me, once you tried Active ATC... you will never try another speaker. All the best! Are you upgrading ?
  9. Hello. I am interest in this. Can you reserve it for me ? Thanks
  10. Hello... I just saw a Supratek power supply! what system is that ? I have supratek preamp myself.. Alex
  11. Hello Guys , @flamjam & @Johnny_Boy some of the first photo. Been watching "Chambers" on Netflix on 4K using a 110 inch scope AT projector screen (Elite screen..) I have to say the sharpness and creaminess just balanced out so beautifully. The only thing I notice is that you can see the "woven pattern" on white colour scene more than my panasonic PTAE8000. Could this be a result of the extreme clarity ? I hope hoping to get a better quality screen and hopefully it should bring this into another level... But so far it really makes you get absorb into the movies. You can see the sharpness and yet not distracted by it. (similar analogy to tube sounding but not flabby on bass!). That is my favourite setting so far. Hope people can comment on my setting and give some recommendation... Thanks...and good night..
  12. Hello @Johnny_Boy & @CustomHT The projector arrived in perfect condition! I did an initial set up.... and coming from a lover of hifi.... it is hard to put to work being a video-fi ... addict but let us say watching from this projector has really made you dont want to leave the screen.... I did two major changes on my set up.... First, the change to Nvidia.... made my previous PTAE8000 POP! in a positive way... but coupled with the new 9400.... I can even watch movies with lights on at eco mode... The next thing I will learn is how to set up these calibration thing... But will send some photos later.... I am really happy....and looking forward to my grey screen soon... At the moment. I am using an elite screen AT and i noticed at some point a screen door effect... (which I did not notice much with the PTAE8000)... could it be the sharpness of the 9400 demanded a better quality projector screen.... so my next screen will not be an acoustic transparent (AT).. just a grey one from Screen Technics! Looking forward to your feedback.... you guys have been awesome!!! I am getting late doing my tax return because of this!!
  13. Hi @Johnny_Boy & all, I set it up yesterday...and even if I am using my PTAE8000, the change is almost like getting a new projector! The movement is smoother and clarity (can be a bit too clear) on some TV show. So great advice SNA team!!! The interesting thing that I would like to know is the 1080/60 and 1080/59.3 1080/24....blah blah... and those funny numbers with 4:2:2 and 4:4;4 (reminded me of the horrible differential equation when I was in uni! My question is if I am watching a movie (do I switch to 1080/30 ?) and if I watch a telenovela ..such as Narco (do I switch to 1080/24 ? Enjoying the overall speed and ease....hope for some feedback!
  14. Hello Guys... just got the Nvidia Shield Pro from Harvey Norman... too much toys now... lets see how it goes.... have a great weekend..
  15. hello @Johnny_Boy I just ordered one and will pick them up from Harvey Norman.... see how it goes....
  16. Hello @Black Label , sounds like a good idea.... where is the best place to buy .?
  17. Hi @flamjam thanks for the advice. Would you recommend an invidia pro vs Panasonic 420 for netflix viewing in 4K ?
  18. Hi @flamjam Thank you for your advise. I have decided to take the plunge and order the 9400 from @CustomHT ! I also have decided to get a grey screen as my room is in the living room and that will allow me to get maximum usage. I am getting the Screen Technics Hi-contrast Grey. I notice that the white of the Epson can be "too white" so hopefully getting this grey screen will give me a bit of a moody "grey white" ... Looking forward to share the experience..
  19. Hi Len. Can you reserve one for me . thanks alex
  20. @flamjam ... DId you ever consider 8400 vs 9400 ? The 8400 is about $1k cheaper than 9400 .... please share your thoughts...
  21. Thanks Flamjam... That is so true.... I might pull the trigger on the 9400.... where is the best place to buy it...I am based in Sydney.... is it safe to order online in VIC if they have a good deal ? I saw Clef Hifi have one for $4379...or better just price match from sydney seller ? Who are the best people to buy in Sydney for... I heard there are shortage at the moment and the wait can be long... Thanks.. Alex
