Yes it is the TF-1 Have not had anything to compare with but to my ears sounds even, not bright yet detailed.

SOLD: FS: Funk Firm LSD SOLD

Item: Funk Firm LSD Little Deck with F5 Tone Arm and Zu Denon MC Cartridge. Location: Barossa Valley SA Price: $1850 firm Item Condition: 99%, basically new although a couple of years old. Only used for about 50 hours if that. Reason for selling: Just can't get into the Black Magic Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought this as I had a couple hundred of records but abandoned them for digital. Still can't get into it. Not that it sounds bad, just like the ease of digital. This was set up by Magenta Audio. I have played less than 50 hours on the whole rig. Comes with Achromat Matt as well. Prefer Adelaide sale but have shipping box etc. Shipping will be at buyers expense. Willing to trade for a lesser table as I will keep my LP and play my records occasionally. Pictures:

    Audiovector Mi3 Signature speakers

Lee Sometimes equipment with greater resolution will highlight weaknesses in the rest of the equipment but more me than likely highlight the weakness in the recording and mastering. Not hardware but software. That's why you see so many with ultra hifi systems constantly looking for Special LP's and CD's. All the arguments re sound, eg LP sounds better than CD, is meaningless without looking at the effort made during the recording process. I have a perfectly good turntable and cartridge yet many of my LP's sound like sh.. while some CD are just fantastic as are some LP.

    SOLD: FS: XAVIAN BONBONUS Speakers

    Sold pending payment.
  7. Item: Xavian Bonbonus Location: Barossa Valley Price: $300 firm plus postage Item Condition: 9.5/10 Reason for selling: Never get used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Bought these on a whim with perhaps setting up a second system. No space or inclination any more. These are however the most amazingly put together little speakers. The Veneer work is exceptional. Only listened a couple of times (not even run it) and they have a lovely even sound. Not bright at all. The equal of small cheaper Sonus' in my opinion. Note: The packaged weight of these are 10.8 kilos if you want to work out postage. Pictures:
  8. Item: Valab AM3 Integrated Amplifier 50wps Location: Barossa Valley Price: $200 firm and postage Item Condition: Good Reason for selling: Time to move it on as I am not using it. Sits in the garage waiting for a happy owner. And it doesn't compete well with my Vitus R!-100 Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: This is a great little amp with amazing build quality. Note they do not come with remote but with really cool power meters. Compared it to a Cyrus integrated at a GTG once and it was easily as good sound wise. Build wise better. These still sell over the Net for about $500US. Note: Packaged weight is 8.6 kilos. So you can work out freight from there. Will make a denotation to SNA once I sold along with Xavian Bonbonus in another listing. Pictures:

  12. Having heard several iterations of Darth's system over a period of a few years I can now say without a shadow of a doubts that as of now it is the best it has ever been. I had the pleasure this evening to listen to the system again and I am awed. Such palpability, breathing dimensional singers and instruments. The lack of distortion is fantastic and makes you realise that much of what we hear in our systems are just artifact sounds masking what is really behind the recording and signal. Well done Mark and I really think you can put upgraditis behind you. Thanks for a pleasant evening.

    Greetings from Adelaide

Welcome aboard It is a journey that can become an addiction, so your wife will notice sooner or later. Hope to catch you at a GTG. Detlev
  14. Mate If you want to try Australian made have a look at Omni Audio high efficiency single driver Omni directional speakers. Musical and fun if not hyper detailed and also good value.
  15. Had the opportunity to hear Mark's system in its new location. What a difference a room can make. I mean this has always been stunning hifi but now there is so much more ... more precise imaging ... greater image density ... better bass resolution .... greater imaging .... all to go with the stunning midrange purity and neutrality which is never less than musical. Mark was musing whether all that money spent was money well spent ... well, I say don't ever regret it ... the sound is sublime and unlikely to be replicated with a lesser spend. I love what my system does and it costs a fair bit less but this does so much more ... They say that Hifi is a case of ever diminishing returns ... all I can say I want to return and have another listen some day. Thanks Mark for your hospitality.
