  2. Will add photos this afternoon. Have been a member since 2006, so can assure you the listing is authentic.
  3. Item: WADIA WT-3200 CD Transport Location: Brisbane Price: $1150 ONO Item Condition: Excellent Reason for selling: No longer needed Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: No sales pitch, if you are looking at this listing you know what it is. Kinda rare, and desirable, amongst the NOS 1541a crowd, uses philips CDM1 transport. Basically perfect condition, laser, drawer, etc work great (well did last time I used it), every cd I have tried in it has read perfectly. Includes original remote, etc. No modifications. Selling as I no longer use my HiFi (and I have a few other similar transports), probably haven't touched this in 2 years, sitting on a shelf gathering dust but will confirm it's operation prior to sale. Also have 2x Marantz CD-95 that I may be interested in selling. Already sold my Micro Seiki CDM-2. Would prefer local pickup, but can pack and ship at cost if required. Any questions please PM. Pictures: Will add when I get home or on weekend, or can supply via PM.
  4. Quick post as still getting PMs, Sold pending collection tomorrow
  5. Item: Pair of Altec 32A Metal Horns Location: Brisbane Price: $550 ONO Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: Too much **** Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: 1x Pair of Altec 32A bent horns, the more desirable and harder to find metal version, not the more common plastic 32B horn. "Stamped" with part number 30623. Very similar to the horn used in the famous Western Electric 753C monitor. Used by Altec in VOTT A8 and 9849 studio monitors. Used by Ken Shindo in his Petite Latour speaker system, also popularised by Joseph Esmilla (JE Labs) and Joe Roberts (Sound Practices). Horns are in good condition, one corner is a bit chipped, won't be noticeable if rear mounted to baffle. Someone has drilled them for 3 bolt driver mounting, but original 2 bolt pattern has not been touched. Also originally grey but someone has painted the mouths black. Both occurred prior to my custody. Selling as I have several pairs of these, too much crap and too little time. Will post at buyers expense, approx. $40 to eastern states Pictures:
  6. Lots of interest so photos attached. Just to clarify, selling for parts only and does need some work to get running again, suit DIYer. Will not ship, local pickup only. Plinth isn't pretty but have plenty of veneer I can throw in for a few extra bucks, zebrano, beeswing eucalyptus, sen ash, huon pine, rosewood, etc. PM to discuss.
  7. Item: Lenco L78 Turntable + PTP4 top plate, plinth Location: Brisbane Price: $350 ONO I guess? Item Condition: Used - see below Reason for selling: No room, not used Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Lenco L78 Turntable, original plinth, tonearm, dustcover, etc. Lenco bearing, motor, platter installed in a PTP 4 top plate in a marine ply plinth. I'm sure if you're looking at this you know what the PTP top plates are so will spare the spiel. Hasn't been used for a number years, last time I used it it worked. Moving house, need it gone, make an offer (reasonable). Pickup only from southside of Brisbane. Pictures: to follow, or send me a PM.
  8. Sides and baffle were all lock mitered, rear panel just screwed to cleats, no bracing as such, opposite faces lined with 10mm felt, any details can be discussed
  9. also note these could be modified to suit any low fs/low qts woofer using say a baffle board, e.g. say altec 32a horn + 515/416 driver, possibilities are nearly endless also they are bottom ported, have a larger cutout in the bottom and have a few port/tuning boards that I could include, or you could make your own easy enough to test other alignments
  10. Item: DIY speaker cabinets suit Altec 604, or similar drivers Location: Brisbane, southside Price: No idea - make an offer Item Condition: Used Reason for selling: moving and no longer required Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only Extra Info: Pair of large speaker cabinets to suit Altec 604 or similar drivers. Constructed using high quality AC interior grade hoop pine plywood, turned ng rosewood legs, pau ferro veneer, shellac finish (easy to remove and oil if desired). Styled after a famous Japanese manufacturers design, but the details are not the same. Moving, dont have room for them, so need to sell at the wife's direction. Unsure what price to put on them, maybe $650? Thats a fraction of the material costs, plywood alone was 950ish. Let me know if you think you can use them. Pictures:
