FS: HOWARD CASTLE S3 SPEAKER (top end in Castle Range in Cherry Wood finish )

Recommended Posts

Item: Castle Howard S3 Loudspeaker

Location: Croydon Park, NSW

Price: $1,300

Item Condition: Excellent condition. Bought them new 4 years ago and kept well in a pet and dust free environment with grille on all the time. Bits to note is a small dent on one corner side (see pic) and one binding post in each speaker bit forced after hard tightening of spade connector - none having impacts on sound.

Reason for selling: Happy with the legendary Yamaha NS-1000m. Still a regretful sale as the Howard has unsurpassed qualities in some areas including build and finish.

Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only

Extra Info: These are high end very well made speakers engineered in the United Kingdom. They have wonderful imaging and musicality typical of English speakers. Have tried them against some other higher priced speakers and keep going back to them.

RRP was around $4K. Bought them new and well looked after. Don't have original boxes hence prefer local pickup - these are heavy.

I've had the S1 from 1995, not selling mine in a hurry. GLWTS these are an awesome bargain.  Easy to drive, I have even driven mine with a 12w/ch 1970 Pioneer integrated, now driving them with 90watts of Copland power, sounded awesome with ME gear too.
