Share two lines....from a song..

Recommended Posts

I have seen the David I've seen the Mona Lisa too

I have heard Doc Watson play The Columbus Stockade Blues

One of my favourite lines in all music

Guy Clark

Draws a direct line between the "high art" of the Renaissance and the "low" art of country music

It's all the same

I am the milkman of human kindness

I'll leave an extra pint

I'm a milkman

Above the dark highways on a black tar roof

Stood  The Sad Milkman in love with the moon

the wonderful Sally Timms from The Mekons wrote a song about me :)

gonna cheat here as - more than 2 lines but gives me goosebumps every time i hear it

When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown
The dream is gone

" When you're sitting back, in your rose pink Cadillac, makin' bets on Kentucky Derby day

I'll be in my faithful room with a needle and a spoon and another girl will take my pain away "
