Ok Lads a few more details

this is basically a conventional rear ported 2 way mini monitor built from MDF , Front baffle and top is 32mm with the rest of the enclosure 18mm.

internal bracing is 12mm ply with two 25mm hardwood dowel and two 12mm dowel differential braces.

The Xover network is comprised of an electrical 2nd order filter utilising a 12awg hand wound air cored inductor with a super low 0.193ohm DCR . The high pass is a Quasi Third order filter using Metalised Polypropelene caps and a hand wound 20awg air core inductor. Resistors are low TC Metal oxides. Internal wiring is dual 24awg solid core ( Cat6)

Internal foam is critical so we've used high density memory foam . How do they measure ? Absolutely impecibly . How do they sound ?  In a word awesome ! Bass is extended with more stomp than you could reasonably expect from a speaker this size , mids and top end are 3D and fast .

There will be a GTG of course so all these wild manufacturers claims can be investigated by the SNA cognisenti !  I'll post again in a couple of days with some pics and a few more details.     Regards Mike Lenehan

Hi Guys

Just spoke to Mike and will be taking a trip down there next week to hear them.

My plan is I will get a pair as a Kit, Rawl99 if he gets time builds them, and we compare it to his ML1 Reference he has as his upstairs system.  He can comment on how hard they are to build etc.  Mike mentioned there may be a version available with upgraded capacitors like Janzen superior or a high quality bypass like a Duelund bypass - it depends what can be fitted inside the speaker.

Should prove very interesting.

Thanks

Bill

Hi vsixtyfour

.                   I'm going to let the first 10 pair out for $1000 as an introductory thing . We are trying to hold the price at $1,200 ,whether this is possible will make itself evident after this first 10 pair.

Bear in mind that Everything will be supplied to finish this product right down to the two different types of glue adhesive required.    Regards Mike Lenehan

Hi Batty
Yup just looks like a nice little MDF box but the time it took to reduce energy storage and stop this enclosure from making a noise was down to design alone .
I couldn't get upto my old tricks and just add steel plates and cast iron rods here and there .

Cheers Mike
