Kyriakos Hantzinikolas
Hi all. Just curious if anyone has used a KHV-1 for your desktop/headphone setup. I've got vincent power amps for my listening setup and looking to upgrade my desktop system/s. Love the look of the KHV1, hopefully looking for some positive reviews Mainly wondering if its likely to have "tube hum" on low impedance headphones (ive heard this can be an issue with some other products, but never actually experienced it)http://www.vincent-tac.de/en/product-lines/tubeline/khv-1/
heybaroo
I've been looking at that amp/pre myself and it looks to be pretty good at driving almost any headphone with low noise and a good preamp as well. Stereophile speak pretty highly of it although the review is almost 10 years old but for tube gear, I have no problems with a 10 year old model. https://www.stereophile.com/tubepreamps/1108vincent/index.html Inner Fidelity used the review on their site as well and compared it very favorably to the older Cayin HA-1A. The main headphones tested with the amp were 60ohm so unless you're using really sensitive IEMs, it shouldn't be an issue.
