Subliminal advertising,

Actually just happened to be on the table when I brought the LP12 in the kitchen for a photo shoot. And the bearing was running a bit low so I topped it up........Not.

From Chris' old ad for this in case anyone is wondering the serial number is: 20358.

So it's a Pre-cirkus bearing. The extras that Chris has listed here make this an excellently priced LP12.

After watching LP12 sales for some years now and having sold one, i've realised that your really lucky to get within a bulls roar of your asking price most times and when the TT is tricked up(like yours and indeed mine) you have to be really lucky to recover any of the upgrade costs.

New PSU is just such a great upgrade and I'd recommend it before you fiddle with anything else on a LP12 and what has been the 'go to' psu for years now? Edmund's Moses Hercules of course which has done the job for all those who either wont or can't pay the outrageous prices that Linn are asking for their psu upgrade for instance.

All the hard works been done on this TT and $2500 is good value and if you spent another say $400 odd on a 103R or less for a used one then you'd be good to go for the next year or two and you'd still get back the money you'd of paid if you decided to move it on..

Hope this TT eventually goes to a good home.

My Ariston RD110 SL took a good long while to move on also. I think the thing is to be patient. I ended up trading mine for some monoblocks which I hope will be a step up from my single ended integrated amp :)
