krakatana
I was wondering if there is any good reason for the power cord to be folded as it is inside this Rotel RQ-970BX ?
Zaphod Beeblebrox
I've seen it many times in Rotel (and other) products. I've never taken any notice of it, but I assume it relates to the mains taps on the transformer and how they connect to the PCB. Whilst there is no real reason why it should be like that (that I can recall), there is no downside either. The usual motto applies: If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Misternavi
@Zaphod Beeblebrox @krakatana easier to fold than to cut during manufacturing?

krakatana
Maybe Rotel are trying to be helpful by supplying an extra length of cord if required.
