Opening up all their rooms and providing some top quality systems to listen to. I was highly impressed by the layout ,akin to an audio Ikea - rivalling some of the best audiovisual specialist outlets that many could guess who I'm referring to. betty boop Posted July 7, 2017 Share Posted July 7, 2017 I've always been a fan of what ...whatmough do. though lost touch in last couple of years. it was great to reconnect... walking in i was suprised on the absolute bargains in the 2nd hand/demo area. there was some very serious and interesting gear there I kid you not ! enjoyed the head fi demo, been a long panel ear speaker fan...but also something had forgotten about. I really enjoyed their first room... such a simple system. old school whatmough stand mount (chiseled sides) a arcam integrated nad cd player... just gets to show how simple it is to create a really nice sound that connects. I appreciated the demo of the ps audio stack and larger floor standers in the next room. I appreciated the discussions that followed and the deep acoustics knowledge and system knowledge of the whatmough staff. this guy really knew what he was talking about. I kid you not we are perhaps not aware how lucky we are in this country to have such a collection of really good retailers given our small population and density. something to be taken advantage of. something I myself sure need to do more off I appreciate the opportunity of the night, thankyou to whatmough for hosting and look forward to more things like this Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
