Jventer
I have just posted a bit of info about MoCA. MoCA is internet over coax at speeds that exceed wifi and Ethernet over power. How it works is that you connect your modem/router/switch to a converter and connect that to the coax. On the other side you connect another converter and your ethernet cable and off you go - the benefit is you dont have to pull an ethernet cable where you have coax already. Lots of info here: http://www.mocalliance.org/news/video.htm Now I am just wondering how good this is and if anything will get lost in the conversion process? Administrator Marc Posted February 7, 2017 Administrator Share Posted February 7, 2017 I've just not had the need really. I just pull new cables whenever/wherever needed. We recently installed HDBaseT throughout the home, which involves running another independent Cat6 network. For residential I can't really see the advantage, as pulling cables really isn't a big deal. I can understanding in commercial, particularly hotels, where this could be advantageous.
