All in one high-end systems

If I was starting again, I think I would do something like this, for speakers

KiiTHREE

And something like this for a pre.

Very flexible add a turntable down the track, or from the start.

Indeed. Avant guarde may be very nice but they don't do discreet  very well at all

But the zero's, ranty, are very different to the typical AG horns.  To me, they look as much like a piece of modern sculpture as a speaker.  If you didn't have to have two of them, the illusion would be even better.

BTW, a mate of mine who's had Quad 57's forever has lost track of the number of people who have warmed their hands in front of them in winter, thinking they were radiators. ;)

I'd of loved to have bought those ones that came up for sale in steak&kidney last year. absolute f...ing bargain. Beautiful things. Surprisingly big in the flesh. shame the guy at last years show had such a crappy set up for them, didn't seem to care much to my mind.

Lovely things.

PS. The Dynaudio focus 600xd gives the c4s and plinius a run for their money.

I'd love to hear more about the dynaudio focus xd series, haven't found too much info on them, and basically nothing in the forums. The 600xd look quite inviting, at least on paper.

The active systems are still slowly being accepted and especially relatively expensive ones.
When lifestyle store had their renovation opening nights Roland from Dynaudio came and did demos/talks on all that we set up.
At the end we had the 600xd with a linn akurate and the c4s with plinius sa103, tautoro and 2 in adjacent rooms. It was a great to compare.
I'd happily sell everything I have for the 600s even without the linn as a streamer

I will throw the B&O beolab 20s into the ring. Bargain for B&O. Could easily live with these forever. Not a B&O fan.

Heard the Dynaudio 200XDs in a bad room. Sounded bad obviously.

Heard the KIITHREE in a good room. Different presentation, different soundstage. Would need longer with them. They are most likely fantastic.
