Citroen
Tidal offers a 90 day HiFi/lossless streaming subscription for free if you sign up using the Sennheiser promotion. Download the Sennheiser CapTune app and sign up through the app. I've only tried via Android but it works on iOS as well so I am told. Just sign up via the app, and you get 90 days free (worth AUD23.99 x3) and you don't even have to use the app again if you don't want to. If you don't want to continue with the service you'll need to unsubscribe before the 90 days. But you can do this straight away and still get the 90 days free. I've had no drop outs, and so far quite happy with the sound quality via my miniPC and Metrum DAC.
koputai
Tidal HiFi is $34.99 per month in Aus. The only places I can find the price you mention are from back in 2015. I've been using it for a little while, the sound quality is great, no dropouts, and it's easier to use than Apple Music or Google Play. Cheers, Jason. Citroen
AUD34.99! Even better free value then. Was just going on a google search https://support.tidal.com/hc/en-us/articles/201745891-How-much-does-TIDAL-cost- Are you sure that price is correct as its only NZD25.99 for Tidal HiFi in New Zealand? Which is about AUD23.99.

Make sure your contract is NOT via Apple Store. Apple charges you the extra. Cancel it and do it again on Tidal again.
koputai
And here from the Tidal App on the itunes website: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/tidal/id913943275?mt=8 Cheers, Jason.
koputai
Thanks @davidro , it does appear that the lovely folks at Apple take $11 per month (a 50% fee!) for doing absolutely nothing. Screw them, I think I'll cancel my Apple Music subscription while I'm at it. Cheers, Jason.

loki65
From Tidal site. Apple’s policy is to charge TIDAL subscribers a 30% fee on your monthly subscription, for the life of your subscription, if you activate your subscription through the TIDAL app on your iPhone that you have just downloaded. I'd cancel then subscribe through Tidal web site.

koputai
Just did it, unsubscribed Tidal in my Apple account, and added a payment method on the Tidal website. All appears to be good, the Tidal app still works on my iphone too. Thanks very much! Cheers, Jason.

zenikoy
Thanks for the heads up. My first time on a proper streaming service. Mind blown. Look for something obscure... all of a sudden you are listening to it. Game of the evening has been finding what isnt on it. So far The Triffids and an obscure Swiss band called Zuri-West. I've been downloading for a decade and a half but this "instantly at your fingertips" thing is a shock to me. So this is why CDs are so worthless at my local charity shops!

Yeah i have found streaming cuts both ways. It opens you up to some amazing obscure artists that you may never have heard, but there are huge chunks of many artsists catalogue missing.
