muzzagruzz
Item: ME850 Power Amplifier - with original wooden crate + printed instructions (downloaded) ALUMINIUM VERSIONLocation: SydneyPrice: SOLD Item Condition: Excellent 8.5 to 9/10Reason for selling: VU meters mmmmmmmmPayment Method: Pickup - Cash, COD OnlyExtra Info:Purchase price is firm - determined by the cost of acquisition plus the service and restorative work. I think it's a fair price for a late model aluminium version of this amplifier.Purchased this off another SNA member a couple of years ago. Purchased with some modifications and these were:Original speaker & XLR terminals & IEC socket were replaced with non original types .I'm of the belief that a brilliant design, by a brilliant designer, should be left well alone. Being completely nuts about authenticity, I took it to Rage Audio to have all the modifications reversed and have all the original, and new, parts reinstalled. The only thing that was left behind was the IEC socket as Zaph said it was of decent quality. So, what was replaced?Speaker terminals with original typeFurutech XLR's replaced with 'high quality' Swiss made NeutriksWhile it was there, Rage Audio gave it its ten year service which included:Foam filters replacedFoam support around the fan replacedOutput caps replaced (I believe thats correct)Bias adjustedThe photos make it look like there are scratches on the sides but there really aren't. I'll throw in a high quality kettle cord that I used with it - highly detailed with a fantastic soundstage and it only cost me $5.00 too! Thanks for lookingTrickyI may be able to personally deliver this to Melbourne if anyone from there is interested, provided they are not too far from city centre. Happy to discuss with prospective buyer.Pictures: Edited July 15, 2016 by Trickster
