So team, I am away alot for work (which means I have intermittent comms as some members may attest). Recently - 11 Jul - my storage unit located on the South Coast of NSW was broken into. As always seems to be the case, I was away...and it wasn't until I got back (last week), that I was able to determine the level of theft. In amongst a bunch of items, my black Wilson Watt Puppy 6's (strangely the Puppies only) have gone, as have my Vandersteen 3A Signatures. A Belles 21A, Vandersteen M5HP crossovers, motorcycle parts...the list goes on. Anyway, I am hoping the community can assist by keeping an eye out for offers that may be too good to be true. The Wilson's are what really hurt as they were my dream speakers that I haven't really had a chance to set up and listen to..(always away!!). Anyway, please keep me in mind and PM me if something pops up. It's a big community and you just never know. I'd expect they might turn up in Sydney, Wollongong etc... Vandersteen 2CE's are serious audiophile quality speakers. They are 4 way speakers with a frequency response from 28Hz to 30Khz. I have used them for both music and as front speakers in a surround sound system. They have always been used with Quicksilver M60 monblock valve amplifiers with which they are well matched (I have 3 x M60's also listed for sale). The sound is rich and vibrant but crystal clear. Further information: I used this sub woofer for several years and they are great units (plenty of good reviews on the internet). Vandersteen's current version of this unit is the Vandersteen 3 and they retail for around $3,000. I had mine repaired by Andy McLaren of Hifi Repair Services (Gold Coast) (receipt available) when we moved house but haven't used it since picking it up because it won't fit into our downsized home. I don't want a lot for it but would like to see it go where it will be appreciated. It is still in it's original box.
